Yosemite Climbing and Landscapes

Life is Good. When I was a kid, my folks took me on camping trips to many National Parks. I loved the natural beauty and adventure of camping. When our car exited the tunnel and Yosemite Valley exploded into view, I was absolutely stunned…breathless with awe. I was only a young kid and that inspiration was an utterly new and profound experience for me, like falling in love for the first time.

I resolved to find a way to live in Yosemite forever. I even majored in Environmental Planning and Management at UC Davis for a few years, hoping to become a naturalist. I moved to Yosemite in 1979 and for 25 years I have left only briefly to complete school and travel. For many years I was a manager for the Concessionaire. That job was downsized after the 1997 floods cut my employer’s revenue.

Now I’m free. I photograph beauty, write, climb, and freelance at fun. I’m grateful for the support of the folks who like what I do.

Everything has beauty. The art of photography is seeing beauty and capturing that beauty to share it. I’m happy to provide secure online ordering for prints of all sizes. I hope that my pictures help you return in spirit to nature, evoking your memory of its beauty.
