The Range of Light

I have been going into the Sierra Nevada since 1969. In this gallery, I try to convey to the viewer what John Muir meant when he called it "The Range of Light" in the late 1860's. My dad was my initial inspiration as I delved into photographing these mountains. Galen Rowell has sustained that inspiration with amazing photographic skill that is unattainable by anyone else. This gallery is dedicated to the late Galen and his wife Barbara.
