Nita, You are so sweet! It will be a year on Thursday that Bunk passed away. Thelma the Wonder Foster Dog was placed in a forever home yesterday! Yeah! I'll probably foster again in the fall when we get back from Alaska. I won't adopt again until at least a year out from my chemo treatments. Hope to see you at Facelift! Susan

A year ago this Thursday I lost Bunk. Not a day goes by that she isn't in my thoughts. Susan

Today, at Point Cabrillo Lighthouse:

I tied her off to the post next to the kerosene storage building, to keep her from chasing squirrels over the cliffs and into the Pacific Ocean. She apparently got tired of being tied up, so she chewed her leash in two! Check the right-edge of this next shot. She's making her escape:

Then she's running through the weeds:

Luckily, she ran straight for me. I kind of had my hands full, flying the kite and everything, so I clipped her to my belt with the runners sometimes I use to anchor the kite:

The docent of that lighthouse is a climber too. He suggested I replace her leash ( knotted half-inch tubular ) with Spectra.

She'd have a hell of a time chewing through that.
