As hot as it gets around here, pools are mandatory for Labradors.

But the Doberman likes it, too.

So, what does a dog do on his day off? He can't lay around, that's his job.

I lost a great friend, Zara, last week, July 5th...
15 years old, heart condition for years, but acted like she was 10, she was bit by a rattlesnake on June 30th ... Though she survived her rattlesnake bite, her little heart just had enough.

I celebrate A Dog's Life, esp the one of Sweet Zara Rose...

(wish i could locate photos of Rosie and Zara lizard huntin'... they were good partners...)

Peace...

edit: to leave it on an upbeat note...Rosebud

A friend's border collie a few years ago, forlornly hoping for something besides skiers to herd and snowballs to fetch. He made do anyway - they're like that.

Zara Rose was indeed a beautiful dog.
She lived a long life even for a dog without heart trouble and a snake bite.
That means of course that she loved her life and being with you.
