This is funny.
From Part III: http://www.conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist/part-three/
"In all actuality, it [the 16th amendment] was ratified by 36 states, and one more a little later on. This is more than enough for the 3/4ths majority required to ratify the amendment[54]."
Now for the fun, check out reference 54:

There's many more like this. Very convincing, I must say!
~~
BTW, I don't buy everything in that movie. I know lots of folks who have tried to dupe the IRS and have landed in hot water. Mr. Snipes wasn't the first I heard about.

His opinion shows WAY too much bias.
Show me a fair assesment of the movie that uses more "fact" than opinion and I'll give it another shot.
I do agree that the "Reality" that "Zietgiest" proposes may not be an accurate representation of the inner workings of the power structure of our world. But FOX, NBC, and the rest of the main stream media, not to mention "History" certainly don't give us clear vision of the world we live in. If anything they seem to do just the opposite.
We are slaves. We are not forced in to it. Most of us choose it.

That is funny, the joke is on me this time.
Odd way of doing footnotes, but that one is there.

I also found the organization of the footnotes confusing.
If he did the job right, each number would hyperlink to the correct footnote. At the least the numbers in Part 3 should hyperlink to the beginning of the footnotes to Part 3.
It's not ideal, but it's just the effort of someone in his spare time, so what do we expect. In order to put the time he did into this, he must have had very strong opinions (and they show) or be obsessive, or both.

I did not recognize the transition to the fun issue of taxes, but there are many ways to LAWFULLY pay no income taxes, such as earn income below the taxable level.
The Secretary of the Treasury stated on record that there is no obligation in law to arrange one's financial matters in a way that increases one's tax burden.
He further stated that the lowest lawful tax obligation is zero.
The super rich often pay laughably low income taxes, often less than those who live below the poverty level, because they arrange their financial matters in conformance with specific tax laws and codes that obligate no taxes while facilitating lavish "working" lifestyles.
In several court cases people who paid no income taxes and were therefore attacked by the IRS, merely requested that the law requiring them to pay income taxes on the money they derived from trading their labor be introduced as evidence in court, because they wanted to obey the law as written. No such law could be brought forward because it does not exist. The rhetorical ruses of the IRS codes are just that, and fail upon a few effective questions. It is just an intimidation game fooling unquestioning people, that will eventually fail, and illuminate the grand gullibility of the dumbed-down Americans.
It is just knowledge. Anyone can learn it. The IRS and all governments rely on the ignorance of ignorant people who parrot the most popular government lies. The process caused the German society of the 1940's to sincerely believe that Jews and Gypsies were criminals that should be rounded up and imprisoned.
It is easy to fool a lot of people a long time, especially the unquestioning Americans, much to the amusement of the observers.
