Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

No.

I quit watching football after the Minnesota Viking lost the Superbowl four times in 7 years.

The stress and disappointment was unbearable. I have permanent emotional scars.

Just a happy Pop – not bragging but celebrating the life of his son! A year ago May, my son Brayton had a tumor removed from his left frontal lobe. Fast forward 16 months and he is the starting Quarterback for a little upstart college program in the Olympic Peninsula. They lost their opener but hey they had lots of fun. The score looks like a high school basket ball game …………. He always was to big to climb :0)

p.s. 3 mri's no sign of the tumor returning. With the Titanium plate in his dome I tell his mom's that he can take a hit better than ever ... not sure she believes that

I can't believe NBC is still running with that stupid "waiting all day for Sunday night" opening theme.

Sounds like it was written by Beavis and Butthead.

Al Michaels needs to go too. I get the impression he would be happier calling the horse races or golf, because that's the direction he always steers the conversation toward.

I think UCS is overrated at #2. UCLA is vastly improved and will move into the top 25 I think.

Watched the Packers play moatly uninspired against the 49ers today.

Well....one thing you have to say about NFL players, they leave it all on the field- their life expectancy is 55.
and
for lineman it's 52.

I'll put my 440 time up against a NFL lineman any day of the week ( even on Sunday ), and I haven't done any running since I ran from the cops when I was a kid.

Those guys didn't start out all that healthy.

Pro football sold its soul to the networks. The game has totally no flow
and it is decided by bureaucrats who make up rules to favor the home team.

College football is better but it is being taken over by TV too.
TV timeouts? Really?

Football? You mean gridiron

Football was last night, Celtic beating Barcelona, though I support both teams, Celtic since 1969 and Barca since 1982, when I was at the Camp Nou (Nou Camp to some) for the Itlay vs Poland semi-final in the World Cup.

But Celtic beating perhaps the best team in the world... priceless.

Okay, perhaps the Bhoys were a bit lucky against Barca, but luck counts. And Barcelona released a statement saying, Congratulations Celtic.

However, my late brother Mac was a diehard Raiders Fan (even after Al Davis took them south). I saw them in 1967 at the Oakland Coliseum (I think against the Broncos) as a paperboy, a group of us were taken there by the Oakland Tribune.

I like the Raiders, but somehow, I am still a 49ers fan.

Baseball is not my game, but... Go Giants. Mac was also a big A's fan. I like the A's, but they are my second team next to the SF Giants.

I like to see Barcelona beat everyone, except Celtic. Same with the Giants over the A's and the 49ers over the Raiders. Otherwise, go Raiders.

GO GLASGOW CELTIC, GO BHOYS.

Tim Tebow's email hacked--now that is funny!
Packers have a bye this weekend, which is too bad as the weather will require some football watching.

What, you can't see the invisible string on the ball?

Here's the next Messi. I watched him practicing by himself in the rain
and the freezing azz wind in Ushuaia for a few minutes. He was intense.
Of course intense and football are synonyms in Argentina.

WOW! Anyone catch the last 1/4 and overtime of the Washington/Washington State Game today?

It was an incredible comeback by the underdog.

Washington ranked #25 in the U.S.

Washington State, with an 8-game losing streak and ranked in ESPN's "Bottom-10" list of the worst teams in college football.

SWEEEEEEEEEET WIN WSU!
