Yep this is the lefthand dihedral

Right-hand one has a fresh rockfall scar at the top so we gave it a miss.

Graham: klk, is that in the nuevo/perris area?

No, but same basic idea, very different location.

And I'll be in Hemet for a couple days in the near future. Maybe a Gibbel rd session-- is that place still open?

Moch- Isn't that Butt Rock in your photos. I believe the arete is called "Vector Analysis" & was put up by Brian Elliott. Great area! There are a couple of really hard routes there, a steep corner to the left of ther V.A. arete that goes at 5.12d or so, first done by myself, & an even harder arete to the right that may be 5.13+, possibly done by Chris Righter.

I call it Happy rock, aka Poison Oak rock. It is in the Cucamonga Peak area. Pretty sure no one has ever climbed this 35 footer....

Oplopanax- Those are the Wild Granites, aren't they?

I've always wanted to go to the Ruby Mtns. They look very nice. Got any more?

You can see those from spencer hot springs always wanted to head out there. I have been hiking on the other side of that range but never to the WG.

I would have said the Humbug Spires also. But then again I've been at the rock in the picture.

Mojede - Mount C. right?

So far I think I've got all the Montana ones correct.

hmmmm chihuahua valley area over by warner springs? hills south of the 74 in garner valley perhaps?

If by gibbel you mean the single overhanging block and top rope wall, then yeah.

Myself and a couple friends put up some new problems at the rocks on Leon rd in Menifee the other day. some really fun stuff. also climbed that 2 bolt slab problem while it rained... slippery.
