Put up a pic of your favorite "hidden" climb. Something out of the way. Name the state its in. Points lost if anyone can identify where your climb is. haha.

Figured this would be a good way to get pics up here of rock that you dont see everyday.

This might not be too easy since its a 30 foot block surrounded by manzanita... cant find stuff like that ANYWHERE in Californa... :/ Its part of a larger hillside that hasnt really been developed (by climbers anyways... houses, thats another story). LOTS of rock like this.

Priest Draw is a lot less than 30 miles of dirt road - does that answer your question?

My submission, also in Arizona:

srbphoto: I am going to guess somewhere on the Columbia River Gorge, near Vantage maybe? Otherwise, Tieton?

Srbphoto's shot looks like Vantage (Frenchman's Coulee). Not the finest climbing in Washington.

Edit: I don't think it's Tieton Erik. I'm not the biggest expert on either of those two places, but it looks more like Vantage to me. (How's Skip doing?)

Nope!

It is a gem not because the climbing is great, it's the whole package. Solitude, quiet, close to the car, incredible first route potential.

In your backyard (Kennewick) would put it on the Columbia River in the Tri-Cities area?

Which raises the question: Do posters have to give away the location of their hidden gems? Or are they allowed to tantalize us and then laugh as we drool?

NOT on the Columbia River.

Not in the Tri Cities. About the only cimbing I get here is when a really big dog poops on my lawn. Let it dry for a couple of days and on go the Fires.

30 minutes from our house--one of the better of many. Too tall for me to boulder (notice OE800 at base), but will find someone to share its FA with me soon.

back in 75 a bunch of us drunken hillbillies would go camping near Dorrington,CA.

well, they drank, and i can't still for more than 10 seconds,

so i hiked all day around these crags,

800 feet down the granite slabs, no bolts needed, ledges, cracks, the works,

in 76, for a 4th of july bi centennial, we brought a couple of Bettys and a fith of Almaden white down to the river,

grabbin trees, holding hands to get down, hot day by the river and no clothing required.
