Good to see my old thread continue; better seeing everyone living under the stars.

I sucked this year with less than two weeks under the stars & half of that included 3 24hr mtn bike races & two adventure races= no sleep but a bunch of stars.

I will shoot for 45 this year..........

Aloha & be well

Gym and tennis days down a bit, but added in 46 mtn bike rides.

How was your year?

Sheesh, quit reminding me. Last year I got about a dozen. Best in a long while. Alright, you can remind me once in a while.

Another year

35 plus or minus nights , some on rocks some on a boat.

What counts are the epic events in life, only 4 this year and all on waves. Rocks have taken a back seat for sure.

Aloha and be well

I can't say offhand bob but I can tell you that I worked three long OB courses this summer that had me seeing a lot of stars along the Sawatch and the Gore. Found some fun new stuff for the daylight hours too, you should check it out!

35 or so.

Not that many in a tent or in a sleeping bag. If you want to count the evenings spent walking and bushwhacking for SAR missions - at least 10. Then there are the nights spent approaching or descending from climbs - about 4 this year. All in all, in was a year spent in relative luxury. That is not always the case. 2011 had about 50 nights, and none of those included car camping.

Good to hear you are still out and about in the ville Rhodo. I'm in the ville 2x a year these days, too cold for me. Lets tie in this summer on the pass once the winter swells pass here in da pacific.

Be well

Well over 100 in my van, only 2-3 I'd consider "under the stars" - in a bivy sack.

hmm maybe 115 in a tree house (not really in a tree, but it sounds more romantic than on the second floor of a play structure) it has an opaque corregated roof, but i can see the stars through the open door way, and the light of the moon has nowhere to hide.
~160 on the ground. i do not have a tent, but i do have a tarp i set up on rainy days, or i crawled into caves.

This year I can proudly post to this thread.
105, mostly out of a tent, but a few *out*. Saw the stars up close most every night. Would love to do it again next summer.
