On the "Rock" them, you could use Peter. This name ultimate derives from the ancient and probably modern Greek word for rock, "petros" (transliterated, of course).

Great minds... Conrad's actually top 2 or 3 on my list. My wife's not as keen and I have a nephew named Conrad. His Dad pictures him a power broker on Wall Street at some point;)
I'm really loving some of the names here and think we're getting close to a winner.
BTW, who came up with Rurp? Can I take an option on that name for the first 6 months or so? ;)

I can suggest a variety of traditional distinctive Norwegian names, if you want. Torleif. Ingard. Ivar (my middle name). Erling. Torfinn. Knut. And so on.

My wife is from Stockholm and I really dig Swedish/Norwegian names like: Torbjorn and Kjell She's got too much baggage associated with them though ;(
