My wife and I can't agree on a name for our soon to be born little boy. I'd love it if a climbing inspired name could come to us. I realize this is probably the most foolish thing ever. Asking for advice on the Taco, that is. Nevertheless let's have 'em.

Winner gets eternal bragging rights and as much beer as you can drink in a sitting next time I'm in the valley. ;)

Cheers,

Just pick a random, gender specific name and tack "Piton-" on the front of it.

Before you destine your child to a life of therapy and parental resentment, I recommend you check this site first:

We named our son Taran, which is Irish Gaelic for rocky hill. But we use an American pronounciation.

P.S. we gave him the middle name John so he could go by TJ if Taran turned out to be a problem. But in today's age with so many unusual kid's names it hasn't been a problem, especialy with other kids, and we get tons of positive comments.

My daughter keeps asking us for a baby brother. She wants to name him "Sweet Baby James."

You could call him "Sweet Baby" for short.

Vaughn.

Okay, it has nothing to do with climbing except that a climber really likes the name. Strong, simple, manly. grrrr.

Just imagine... you are a 16 year old virgin girl and you are asked out by a guy with the name "Rock". Maybe she wouldn't understand... naw... she would.
