Citizen Photos, Videos & Tips
The response from the public wanting to help the police identify the individuals involved in last night's criminal activity has been overwhelming.
We are grateful for everyone's help and have included instructions below for anyone wanting to privately share videos with our investigators.
For photos, please send them to robbery@vpd.ca.
Tips can be left on our tip line at 604-717-2541.
To anonymously upload videos to the VPD, please upload them to YouTube as private videos and share them with robbery@vpd.ca (please DO NOT email videos to this email address). http://vancouver.ca/police/2011riot/index.html
Hopefully none of the videos will have been photoshopped.
It sounds like I missed something while I was gone, but maybe not much.

They are running state of the art facial recognition software thru the back door law enforcement access to Facebook - this software will match up these perps faces to their beloved Facebook accounts
Fortunately I have cell phone records showing Me and Jim Brennan were at home chatting away over public telephone systems so no amount of photoshopping by our detractors will be able to falsely implicate us.
Unintended consequence - Mark Zuckerburgs Empire and book value erodes as the people discover they have been hoaxed into one of the greatest law enforcement tools ever run over the internet and quit "Facebook'em Dano" in droves !

Assuming that whoever's behind the "vancouverriots.com" website is posting accurate facts - mostly repeats of self-incriminating statements by rioters - it causes a great deal of schadenfreude to read them. But then, most accuseds do a fine job of convicting themselves, with little if any help from lawyers.

Once they find one guy on facebook then all his friends are scrutinized by the cops supercomputers as well. This is a field day for image data recognition software and all the stupidity that goes on facebook - Don't forget kids to keep you FB account up to date with your current cell phone number so we can link to the Telephone company records for a fix on your location for the night of Game Seven
I wonder how many Petaflops the RCMP/Vancouver Police computing departments has churned thru so far in the first 24 hours with face recognition software via the facebook backdoor ?
