Are you kidding?

have you seen the clip?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwyKBvZ2vgQ

they tookonly 60 seconds to get from initial contact to full taser, and the guy never left his seat, what's more, you can see they made that decision only 20+ seconds in.

what's going on there is that the police are not even trying to de-escalate anything, they are using brute force instead of any other form of training. what has this guy done? been rude? fine, he's an ass, you can negotiate with him, you can use skills than can be trained and learned, the taser should be deployed when a subject cannot be reasoned with and is a clear and present danger, not before.

the guy was taserd for not being compliant upon initial contact.
i am against that, and no, i am not kidding.

you think this makes cops safer?
i say it makes a certain segment of the public feel like the cops are even more of a threat, and thus it puts cops in danger, it's a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts.

Warbler!

Good eyes Kevin.

Yes, that's Beardman/Tommy Bruso, the Viet Nam vet.

The dude seems to have a penchant/inclination for dissident aggression.

this us great, Jack Cover, inventor of the taser, studied from the same guy who gave us another wonderful invention, the atomic bomb! yipee!

Jack Cover was born in New York City on April 6, 1920, and grew up in Chicago.[1] He earned a bachelor's degree and a doctorate in nuclear physics at the University of Chicago[1], studying under Enrico Fermi

Fermi is widely regarded as one of the leading scientists of the 20th century, highly accomplished in both theory and experiment.[1] Along with J. Robert Oppenheimer,[2] he is frequently referred to as "the father of the atomic bomb"

Thanks Jack!

The rationale of cops have a hard job, are under a lot of stress, etc. does not excuse the use of harsher methods to enforce the law. If you can't handle the job, then find a new one.

With the increase in use of tasers, from the videos I've seen, it seems that LEOs are getting lazier. Not in all cases, but seriously, if an LEO is unsure if they can subdue a person, call for backup, then take em down.

hey there say, brokendownclimber.... as to what you posted, i just took a bit here, for referernce:

The LEO then tasered the driver who couldn't hear due to being hearing impaired! His hearing aid had been turned off due to the racket generated by the old engine.

thanks very kindly for sharing this.... these folks rarely get their story told, much farther than out of town....

or even IN town, in some cases....

others really do need to understand about this, too...

god bless...

Watched LV Jail last night on TRU Tv

Amazeing and disturbing look at how the other half lives.. there are many people out there who have really made some horrible choices in their lifes.

Amyways the show is basicly just the process of betting booked into county jail in LV NV

Seems like all the guards and other officers were as polite and fair as possible with the incomeing inmates with the exception of one bald headded meathead guard who has serious ego problems and needs to force his will onto the inmates. Interesting to watch but depressing at the same time.

The thing that gets hammered home time and again is just don't balk talk the meatheads. It will get you no where fast.

Well TMC.
I had some reeeeeeealy bad experiences during my 30 hours in Clark County Detention after defying the rangers by climbing in Valley Of Fire.
That said, they weren't all bad, and in fact, after looking through my file and talking to me, one of the COs actually told me that I ought to get a good lawyer and sue them.

I did.
And won.

You must have gotten that bald headded bastard! I swear he should be wearing an orange jumpsuit instead of a uniform! the rest of the ones they feature on the show seem pretty decent.

Wasn't just one.

My 25 page complaint was later also used in another civil rights lawsuit by an inmate who was kicked by a CO so hard a colostomy was required.
(among other things I had been kicked in the head while on the floor)

$9K

Long story, bottom line; next time I would tell the judge that the money was secondary to seeing that there was no double standard for the officers.

But, of course, there was.

But I got the satisfaction of seeing my lawsuit support the subsequent complaint which cost them MAJOR bucks.

fatty, the 4-20 has really screwed up your short term memory, thats like #19,

i am moving on, nothing left to vent, i am now back in present time along life's time track,

not stuck in an incident.

if you want a happy life, avoid getting stuck in an incident,

keep the tape running,
