I dislike saying this, but Scott is included in my daily prayers for my family and well-being of the country.

It's getting tired, Scott. Wake up! I love ya, man, but I have to pray for other people too. You have another one coming after this post.

Wake up! Dude, you can do this!

Coz is in his Chrysilis, he will come out when the time is right. It takes a lot of energy doing what he's doing, I get exhausted just cleaning my car.

He will be back. He will unfold his wings as the new Coz. Things will not be the same as they were, but they never are. He will have new insights for how to thread the goat trail ahead!

So, so sorry to hear this today. I've been caught up in a mess over here that had me distracted so nothing else was on my radar. I so wish Coz a complete recovery and tons of incredible days and opportunities to do the stuff most people only dream of. Praying that his recovery be quick and complete.

Hugs,

hey there say, chief... as to your project thoughts about the video things:

not sure, but isn't it possible, also to make a youtube page that
is NOT public? or that someone needs to sign in to, to see the videos...

if it is????
then, he'd just have to have someone sign him in to it, and he could all the videos that folks would load up there...

trouble, is, i reckon, though that everyone would have to have the sign in page???

is that kind of thing possible?

would it not clog a phone, then, as you 'load only one at a time'
?????

i do not know a lot about how youtube pages uploads, users sign in, stuff
works, so it was just a wonder???

edit:
BUT, i got the idea, from a gal at a fan-site and SHE puts
up videos of the places that the gals visit, but
i think folks have to sign in, or HAVE THE LINK,
other-wise, they can NOT view them...

however, MANY folks, i know do not even care if other see the videos, etc, and there are many public ones, everywhere...

but HIS own page to go to, to find them, would sure be easier
for his family...

I speak from firsthand experience that this process can take a very, very long time.

I guess the lack of a recent update means that there's been no significant change in Coz's condition but here's to hoping that the next news we hear will be encouraging.

From the descriptions people have given about his condition I think it's safe to assume this isn't something that he is going to "wake up" from. You're looking at slow progress each day while the brain heals and you never know just how much or what kind of damage was done until enough time (not typically just days).

*edit* I want to clarify that by saying he isn't going to "wake up" I mean it won't be a sudden recovery, not that he won't recover.

Hi All,

Its Dave Lane Here. I Have never posted on supertopo before or for that matter anywhere else. I'm so old schools, no Facebook, no Twitter, Linkedin don't bother.

Scott got such a kick that I'm the only guy with no aps on my phone.

I was with Scott on the job and asked Perry to post about Scott's accident. I just wanted to say thank you for all the support for Scott. Scott's Mother and Sister check in on the thread and its a big boost to them to see Scott's climbing community sending so may good Thoughts.

There were five of us on the rigging crew including Scott. We were pre-rigging to fly camera for the production when the accident happened. All of us were first to attend to Scott on the ground. It was a truly horrible thing to see a friend so badly injured.

Just a word of causation, posts about the how and why of the accident, workman's comp and productions stepping up to the plate are kind of hard to read for those of us who are still very much living the moment and keep in mind Scott will hopefully be reading all your supportive post soon.

I did not really intend to say all these things but there you go, I guess its starting to really weigh down on me now. After the accident the Producer shut down the set. It was really deviating for all the crew. A lot of the crew witnessed Scott falling including the five of us just fifteen feet away.

After a couple of days the producers polled the crew to see if anyone wanted to finish the project. We all decided it was better for us to be busy than to focus on the tragedy. We did the job and I think Scott would proud of the end result.

The Production house has been looking after Scott's Sister and Mother very well and the producer and owner of the company have visited Scott on a daily basis.

Scott's condition is still stable and unchanged. They are trying to bring him to the surface slowly reducing the sedation meds and trying to reduce his reliance on the ventilator. At present Scott's not having any interest in joining us. The docs are concerned but say that Scott will decide when its time. It could be minuets, hours, days or even months, only Scott knows when it will be time to join us.

Scott is still in an ICU ward with a very dedicated team looking after him. Scott faces a very long road to recovery and the potential for brain injury is still very unknown.

Scott's in a room full of machines with no room for anything personal, so Please keep up the good thought, hold onto those cards, record the videos msg and pray to your gods and when the time comes that Scott decides to join us I think he will get a big boost by your support. I know it has already Helped Betty and Lorrie.

Best,

Dave

Scrubbing my flagstone floor tonight and listening to Pandora....James Taylor just came on with "Shower the People You Love With Love." What a classic and what we all need each day. Special love tonight to Scott, and all the people we care about in our lives.

But to be true to my best friend, gotta shower even the sandpaper people in our lives with love.

Peace, and Prayers for Scott and Yo All. lynnie

I expect that Scott will use the same fortitude and drive that allowed him to pioneer routes like "Southern Belle" to make a full recovery down the road.

Best wishes to Scott, his family, and his caregivers.
