I regret to share the news that Scott Cosgrove was critically injured in a fall at work yesterday.
I was advised by his workmates (and my good friends) this morning and thought it important to let Scott's friends here on Supertopo know.
He's apparently in a trauma unit in LA and although he's by no means out of the woods, there's indications that he'll survive.
Our thoughts and prayers for his recovery and best wishes to his family, friends and co-workers.

That is rough news.
With all of the risks that we face out there, getting badly hurt on the job is the most tragic, somehow.
Godspeed in recovery Scott.
We're all pulling for you man.

We were already preparing to head south to California today and will plan to visit Coz in the next few days.
Obviously, it's important to avoid misinformation, and I'll do my best to provide accurate updates on his situation as I know more.
At last word a few minutes ago, he's heavily sedated and undergoing surgery for multiple fractures.

Wow what sad news.
What does he do that would expose him to such an injury?

Roots- He rigs for television/movies.
So is Coz actually "critically injured" meaning that he's at risk of death/brain trauma or is he just suffering from numerous broken bones requiring sedation between operations? I know it's probably too early for you to know but I have to ask.

I think critical means life threatening and that's the way his co-worker described the incident and Cozzy's current situation.

Sounds bad.
But ....!!!!
I've been with Coz when he fell once and hit the ground.
I thought for sure he was toast.
After half hour later he got up and did the exact same thing except this time he made it.
Fingers crossed for ya good buddy for you to rise again ........
