Your kidding, right ? I do love red l. and it is soft. Don't jive me, need serious beta here. : D

Say how do you make a stern look with the stuff on your keyboard? Lynnie

Apologize to ALL for the drift, But a little desperate here. Doc's lists are not always all inclusive. So, I have been doing those things pretty much, Jaybro. Is Treacle Liver ? That's what I'm main lining tonight as a last desperate attempt...plus iron pills of course. I mean I'm ok. Better than most absolutely, but I have my standards. Hey, I gotta keep up with the Gordo treks...and I want to!!!

And How do you make a stern look with yo keyboard ???

I was, kidding about red L, but there are disorders it helps with.

I had a student with a syndrome that slips my mind right now, who we really did have to feed it on a regular basis. He had no flight or flight response. Cortico- something or other, (adrenal?) deficiencies.

I'm new to this Lynne & Werner, but why is this thread now discussing diet?

Waterskiing Tenaya Lake or How Best to Quell Disorder with Red L.

Good night.

I have no disorders .... just dam (oops) darn braces.

Werner, I'm looking like a cross between a cow and a chicken ....it's ruining my social life!! heheheh. You guys are great. lrl

Edit: Sorry Don Lauria, I owe you and the Taco. Just hard to catch these guys sometimes when you are desperate for info.

Apologize to the Taco. Sincerely, Lynne

Ps, feel like I just snuck out of the dorm and got caught.

Pps, let's think of it as a "Shakespearean aside."

The term of art for a discussion of waterskiing on Tenaya Lake turning into a discussion of red licorice, and other dietary matters, is "thread drift". Just like at campfires, some discussions here digress and morph into entirely different subjects; others stay on point. All depending on the participants.

It is a fairly safe bet that any thread to which LEB contributes will drift, as a drift net wanders the oceans, leaving devastation in its wake.

Yo, my fault...I'll take the fall. Will try and be careful in the future. :(

(Guess it would be wise to start a new thread at this point to find out if Black Treacle is liver.)

And like sneaking out of the dorm....it was Worth It. : ))

I didn't mean to stir a hornets nest and obviously I haven't. Your apology, though not necessary, is accepted.

I'm merely sitting here publishing a newsletter and occasionally checking the forum.

So I'm not wasting time.

Oh good,
saves me cranking up the e-mail machine.

Iron Girl:

Lisa, being a high output athlete, gets that iron deficiency really easily.

We eat a whole bunch of stuff like Jay said above.
Lots of dark leafy greens, braised.
And red meat once a week.

But she also gets lots of B12 shots from a local nurse.
And she takes a pill ("the pill") that reduces her period to four times a year, thereby stanching iron loss.

And yes I do my part to combat, or offset thread drift.

'Just e-mailed Carter to get him to chime in on the other thread, with that cool Millis reportage.
