The title pretty much says it all.
Hard to believe, but there may have been drugs involved…..
Boys just wanna have fun!!

Wow - that's a rather unique event.
Now if only EKat had gotten a picture of Dale jumping off the upper deck of the old shuttle bus into the Merced, at Sentinel Bridge...

Thought hard about that one for years! Seems the only way to do it now without getting caught would be at night.
How fun would it be!!!!!!!

Al Bard, Tom Carter, and Millis!
I know the trick was repeated a few times:
Even into the late 80s Tom Carter kept his water skis stashed under our tent cabin behind the gas station at YMS.
Drugs were NEVER involved with the execution of these wholesome stunts.

Thanks so much for sharing the pics. I can just imagine how fun that must have been.
Hey it's not our fault they put the road so close to the shore. Who needs 'motorized' boats?

Too cool. Must be early spring. There is still snow on the rock.
In high school I use to waterski the canals near Los Banos. Swim to the other side, get set, pop up and make a hard turn to keep from hitting the dirt. Lots of fun.

My hub actually had two friends hold open the front and rear door of our local coffee shop ( it was a straight shot ) while he popped a wheelie through the place with his Triumph motorcycle.
Oh, TWTD. Sweet Smiles of Yesteryear...when it was just boys doin' their thang and no arrests etc.
EDIT: With Nita Gal, awesome Alpine.

Thanks for the photos, what a treat!
After hearing about this for years, it is impossible for me to drive along Tenaya Lake and not think about this epic.
Visualize the road, trees and consider the orange tow "boat" with Carter as Captain and Millis as navigator. Safest place would be on the water.
No wonder Ferdinand had heart problems.
