Stzzo quotes the Brady Center statistics! LOL 2 funny.
(and I see they didn't miss OJ's buddy, not to mention the guy busted for "selling counterfeit merchandise" with a roach in his pocket. Oooooooh!)

OK, even if they are ALL factual and not in the least hyperbolic (yeah, right) how many millions of CCW holders have been licensed in the past decade and a half?

The comment about a weekend in LA holds true.

And who has bothered to factor in the number of potential lives saved?

stzzo, I think you realize those stats are probably less forthcoming, under reported.

I think WorldNetDaily did a story about that though, let me find it.

Edit: Also, if someone has a C/C permit, are you opposed to them being able to carry that privelege into NP's? If so, why?

Rox -- The only canine animal you are likely to be attacked by is the domestic dog. They kill a dozen or so Americans a year and hospitalize thousands more.

I am a avid newshound and I cannot recall, ever, having seen a wolf attack story. There are a few cougar attacks a year and every single one makes the national news. I cannot imagine an actual wolf attack would fail to do the same. Please post an actual story to back up your rant.

Rox -- as I thought, you are full of crap. There has never been a fatal wolf attack in the modern US. In fact, even including Canada there is only one documented case, and investigators thought the victim might have been killed by a bear and then predated on by wolves.

So, lets see, population of four hundred plus million people, one (possible) fatality.

I'll take my chances, alone in the woods, as I have for the last fifty years.

Hope you don't shoot yourself in the foot while shaking from fear!

Hey, I hope you didn't have to take too much time off from your MENSA club activities to compose that reply!

But, I notice only one of us is afraid to go out in the woods.

The only times I carry in the wilds is when I'm fishing in Alaska. I'm usually wrapped up in what I'm doing and in locations that don't leave me a lot of exits. That is a bad time for surprises. Otherwise, I usually have my wits about me and don't feel the need to go armed. Now, kooky f^cking people are another story...

So if Ronbo is legal now, when is open season? What sort of weapons are permitted? Craft, cunning, and low puns, one hopes.

It is a certainty and a god given right that all American citizens should carry at all times a 50 megaton nuclear weapon, lest someone be tailgating them or cutting them off in traffic. Anyone who disagrees with this is either a communist or homosexual. If, in fact, all Americans carried such weapons, we would all experience the joy of freedom that the NRA has so graciously designed for us.

Mr Roehl,

You should learn the difference between personal arms and crew-served weapons.

That is total BS, Jox. Obviously, you don't hunt.
30 cal in whatever flavor is fine for elk.
Shot placement, rather than caliber size, is crucial in bringing big game to dinner, as it were.

EVERYONE in alaska has MUCH larger guns than I carry, sometimes they look at my 9mm and just snicker, maybe id get more respect with a bigger sidearm. I was thinking this one.
