hey there you all.... just dropped in to wish you all well... and success to BEING well, too...
say, susan... there is nothing like a good challenge to get folks going... hope everyone wins out, in this one...
say, jody, great, as to ditching the soft drinks...(tons of sugar, it was)....
*well, i am 54 and each year set my own challenge to myself----some years, seems i keep the challenge going all year on a day-by-day, as the body changes as it ages....
the challenge keeps me up to par, (though once during a hard winter i ate whatever came my way, by way of the grandkids family sharing--and me taking turns a no-no foods as well, as it was mighty temping then), but i got back up and conquered....
so here's encouragement for you:
you WILL NOT regret it .... when and if, health issues start knocking on your door, just as in being strong for rock-climbing is a necessity, you will be then be strong for conquering health issues better if you have "planned ahead" in this way....
good luck, guys and gals...

Confirmation, this is Christa "g-friend of Prod's", I'm in- I'm at work, so I'm scanning the thread. Is it 1 lb./week, 2 ?? Can we stop eating and check out of society for the entire time with pay- I'll definetly loose 10 lbs. then.
ooooo, Prod, Cayman is going to be tough, but we are on Seven Mile beach, so I challenge you to at least a 3-mile jog per day.

We're up to 17 people. I was going to send out yet another welcome letter but figured I'd wait for a few other stragglers.
Yesterday Russ claimed to be out as he weighs 186 and doesn't think he can get to 176. Then again, with 17 other people, that's a lot of dough if people can't step up to the scale so to speak. Can't have FishFinder taking all the winnings.
Certainly there are other lurkers about. Steelmnky, I'm not calling you out! Moof? You out there?

I'm out solely because I've already been dieting, and because we're babysitting two mutts for 10 days in a couple of weeks and that is going to put a huge dent in the aerobic activities that focus on my needs. Too much of a handicap for me.

I thought I'd keep it public- not sure if that's what we're doing. GAME ON!!!!! Yippee!!!

I want a scale that does body fat!
Or maybe I don't...
131 this morning, but I'm short. Still.. ten pounds is going to be tough. Someone will be making money off me.
All that yummy cheese in the fridge... maybe it can be used to wax skis or something?

hey there fatrad... say, i just jumped in here to see how you folks were doing... say, as to the client luncheons and dinners, etc... say, it can be hard to not go with the flow, so:
just sit right down and pull a carrot or celery out of your pocket and look important, and you should do right fine at lunch... hm.... unless you get hungry, i reckon... :)
but seriously, plan ahead and decide on some "substitutes" or less "harmful" food, and you CAN get by---and be a winner, as well.... it may be hard to do, but for rock-climbers, nothing is impossible... so they say :)... onward and upwards, except as to WEIGHT... :)
have fun, all...
