Wes, keep posting; I enjoy your contribution. Supertopo can use a good shaking up every now and then. Group hugs get old after a few hundred or so... Seeing the serious responses to your obvious trolls is reason enough to return to some worn out threads. Cheers.

Aw shucks, Wes. I can't make it this weekend, but I'll be camping up in Emerald Bay next weekend. Gonna go check out Eagle Lake on Saturday.
That's a kind gesture though, cheers!

Donny! Straight outa Vacaville! You, sir, are very funny!
Wow, it seems like I hurt the flamers feelings! Sorry about that boys, but I guess if you can't take it, try not dishing it out. Personal attack Rammit? Lets see, "elitist circle jerk", "cadre/cell of suck ups". I guess I'm not sure where I fit in that particular pantheon, but I'm pretty sure there is some personal insult in there. My contributions are mostly positive, but for those that offer almost nothing but animosity, well, you reap what you sew. I have never said anything negative in commenting on anyone elses trip reports no matter the scale of said trip. I love reading about others experiences out in the woods, it is always fun and if I post I always thank them for taking the time to post up. I dont care if they are famous or a nobody (like me). I respect people for what they do,and I might remind those that are dissing the more famous among us, they got famous for doing, not posing. The great outdoors can be a very unforgiving testing ground, and having suffered my fair share of tough experiences I do have a lot of respect for those that test themselves in ways or places that I, frankly would be afraid to. Courage is a virtue I respect, and betting your life takes a lot of it.
I realize that Wes is obviously trolling, offering outrageous statements with no purpose but to get a reaction, but at least it looks like he does do stuff outside. Props for that. I would also note his reaction to my remark wasn't as venomous as Rammit's. Rammit by contrast doesn't sound like he ever goes outdoors, I don't believe I have ever read a trip report from him. I don't care enough about him to search his posts, so I could be wrong. I just know that in the threads I read all he does is insult others, some of whom I know, either personally or by reputation. A smart mouth remark does not earn any respect from me, especially from someone who has never done anything of note. If you think you're impressing me with your erstwhile wit or intellect you are off the mark. So in closing, Wes, quit trolling, and Ram, well, try going outside and scaring the sh#t out of yourself somehow. Post up about that and I bet you will find yourself a lot more friends.
Michael

Actually its toe.

Oh, are we talking the slagging and shagging, or the few posing and pride-filled wannabe posts interspersed with the bullsh#t? I will admit they are much easier to tell apart than your bullshit and beliefs.

bvb, there are those who make the case for lower-order life forms evolving in punctuated leaps, though rarely in one lifetime or body. But I suppose miracles do happen - you and I are both still alive.

This was a very good riddle Bob, but I think I finally figured it out--the correct answer is . . . Wes is the wanker, Raimit is a wanna-be and Nick is an a-hole! Am I right? What do I win?
Wes, if you're listening, my advice to you is to get a little red wagon and tow my doctrine of egalitarian elitism (I can explain it in another post if you want). People may ridicule the way you adhere or conform to your wagon--but on the plus side it has made me more tolerant, built up my triceps and I swear my hairline is coming back.
Raimit, one word: Humboldt. I can tell you are out of your league (rugby and otherwise) at Hah-ved. An English instructor whose rhetorical strategies, or lack thereof, and unstable tone defeat his purposes and alienate his audience? Listen up, I once met a near-sighted climber in Yosemite who got an English degree at Humboldt; he could never finish a crossword and like you, he had trouble differentiating idiomatic from idiotic expressions. Send your application today; I'll proof it for you too. One more bit of advice: never play poker; your attempt at bluffing Ronbo was pretty weak (Raimit + context = poet = ROTFLMAO!!!).
Nick, read everything that Raimit and Wes have written, and after each of their posts count to ten (or a hundred if need be). Then the next time Wes gets his panties in a wad trying to get your panties in a wad you can respond with an attitude that draws your audience in rather than driving them to start threads about whether you are a wanker, a wanna-be or an a-hole.

WandaFuca, you crack me uppa! Right arm, my (wo)man. Still, it's true that wes has made a not-very-hirsute ass of himself, when he claims old folks (like me) are elitists and ego freaks. What is with the posting of pics of 15-foot high knott-climbs, anyway? Is somebody supposed to be inspired? Impressed?
