"I have the guy that does my graphics working on t-shirt designs."
why do I suddenly feel like chopped liver?
"and then there is the issue of where to get them printed..."
I'll print em if they're one color and you don't mind paying a premium price!

Blow - the guy working on the graphics is the one that developed my logo. He's also the one working on developing Freddy.
And I thought I asked you if you could do T-shirts. I thought you said you didn't/couldn't. hmmm... well... let's talk?
How about some SF IV:XX stickers? can you do the shirts? I'd love to have your help. Who wants a shirt and what are they willing to pay?
Susan - yeah, this is a lot of work. It's like training to climb hard. I'll be swining sushi all summer long pretty much using the same setup as with SF IV:XX. This will be a most excellent opportunity to get the kinks worked out.
I'm taking a commercial food production course at the local CC. I get a chance to apply some of what I'm learning.
And I love making sushi!

The best bumper stickers were at the Grafton Fuller extravaganzas. They just had the names of three towns in Utah;

I think you can get cheaper prices than CafePress, but they do offer a 15% discout on orders in quanity of 15 or more.
Here are some prices:
White T-Shirt usually $13.99, 15 or more, it's $9.09
Light Color T-Shirt usually $14.99, 15 or more, it's $9.74
(color choices are lt. blue, natural, or ash grey)
Organic Cotton T-Shirt usually $16.99, 15 or more, it's $11.04
(Has a soft creamy color, not stark white)
Ringer T-Shirt usually $14.99, 15 or more, it's $9.74
(white body with choice of black, navy or red trim-edging on neck and sleeves)
All the above can have printing on the front and also back. So, actually you can have 2 designs on the shirt. They can both be up to 10 x 10 largets size, centered. You can also do a smaller print on the "pocket area"(there is no pocket on the shirt, just refers to the area). And on the back, you can make either the 10 x 10 size, or have a smaller design set high, like between the shoulder blades.
If this looks like the best option, and your graphic guy can suppy finished artwork that works(has to be in PNG format, correct resolution, blah, blah, blah.... any white areas on design will not print, so if the design needs white, you print on a white shirt and get your white. But on the colored shirt, the "white" will be unprinted, and thus, the color of the shirt), I would be happy to upload the design to my shop and take care of it. Needs 2-3 weeks for delivery, so....time's relevant.
One Problem, and not a small one - I can not afford to front the cost).
For stickers, they are usually $2.49, 15 or more, it's $1.62/pc.
The size is 5 x 3 inches. Those, I can front the cost for, unless you want to make a gazillion. Then you're on your own.
Finally.....I want to suggest calling this thing the "Southwest Sushifest!"...has a sort of a ring to it, don't you think???

Gang,
I've had lots of shirts done at customink.com and they are fast, fair and super high quality. Also they have organic cotton t's available.
Jeremy Collins owes me a t-shirt design and I could hit him up for some crased sushi/climbing/blowing things up ideas. Anyone up for it? nature, how far along is your design?
I've just been in JTree for the last 5 days and it's been hotter than schizzle here. Actually it's only been in the low 80s but the sun blazes... I'm bringing 2 big tarps we can fly for shade and I think I can bring our 10' EZ up.
Aldude says hi but is using the lame "I'm totally booked for work" excuse for not coming to sushifest. Let's all work him hard.
I'm bringing full-on photo gear so I'll get some good pics until the evil alcohol takes over.

Well, technically our cuisine is "Pacific rim" which puts us somewhere to the east rather than southwest, but since our event is not tied to one rock, since we're mobile and even modular, I would think that THE SushiFest covers all the bases.

only problem with "supertopo" or "southwest" - there are more than just supertopo folks (25% of the folks are not on this forum with a few more to be added from Flagstaff) and this won't be the only "southwest" sushifest.
Also this sushifest will happen every 4/20 (anniversary of starting the biz). that's why I came up with the IV:XX (a bit obfuscated which i liked).
A SushiFest isn't a once a year deal. There should be at the very least two more before the year is out. In fact I can already tell you there will be one in Flagstaff July 15th (a few days before my B-day and a few after Josh Cross's [he's the brothah walking the slackline on dah mace in a few weeks).
The whole "SushiFest blah blah" does need to sorta fit into the overall scheme - a scheme I'm hoping to leverage some biz with. So though I'm listening to ideas right now I really like "2007 SushiFest IV:XX" or "SushiFest IV:XX 2007"
as far as the t design goes like I said above I'd like to see my fish on the front and maybe in the "design" for the back and Freddy worked in on the back design. By doing my fish on the front I can get a half a dozen or so printed up w/ nothing on the back. hmm... it's also time to think about embroidered hats with mah fish.
Edit: as of today there are 14 folks that are paid in full.

I am notifying folks the day I get their checks. Mighty Hiker sent his camping payment 3+ weeks ago - it arrived today. Mail to flag is slooooow. (so that mean no)
glad you caught the IV:XX thing. We'll all be drunk. You'll fit in :-)

Well, I mailed $20 on February 26th, and it arrived March 14th - 16 days. Probably had to clear HS or something. You never know about small envelopes from Canada.
For all the talk about loud diversions and other excesses at sushi fest, I for one hope for a chance to meet and get to know other SuperTopians, get some exercise (climb, hike), eat good things to excess and drink in moderation, and enjoy the peaceful outdoors. A campfire, and some gentle music, would also be ok. I never have been much of a party animal.
It sounds (he he) like there'll also be a place for people to bang on drums, blow things up, play with guns, have loud stereos, and generally indulge in behaviour. I'll visit, but may not stay for long.

hey nat, am i still penciled in as the resident loser? as i said, even if i can't make it, i'll still kick in mucho $$$ as a kill fee if i can't show. sh#t, money i got, time i don't.
if i can't make it, use my ducats as a tip to yourself, or a scholorship to some deserving dirtbag!
scheduling around an autistic 14-year-old is a bitch...and gettin' harder every day...
(obvious play on the sympathy vote...heh)
p.s.....are you people old or what??? i got the 4/20 thing right off the bat. i take 4/20 off from work every year.
here's an image from my favorite 4/20, 2003:

Did you ask me if I did shirts or if I wanted to do shirts, can't remember but hit up Maldaly's link cuz I'm going on a FA frenzy next week for a week or so and won't be getting sh#t accomplished but putting a small dent in the next Hueco.
