Of course he's responsible for his actions!! I'm just saying, maybe things wouldn't have got this bad if they had just talked to him... Maybe they would have anyways?? Who knows!
I'm just saying there are options that could have been employed before it got to this level and it's pretty clear that it's standard routine around here to just whack people and not communicate with them and try and re-introduce them to the fold if they choose to play nice.
I'm not defending him. Just expanding on ryan's point about the lack of communication around here.

Though I don't agree. I find the forum tolerant to transgressions.
I wonder if Matt is now collecting sympathy by help of private e-mails to certain forumers. Acting out "evil-in-action" in the forum and collecting private support from a selected group of "friends" through private e-mails could be part of a sociopathic pattern.

It's unfortunate when people get banned and their good climbing content gets deleted. I do believe when you sign up for an account you agree to the sites rules. If I violate the guidelines the site administrator(s) have no obligation to justify their actions.

I dunno man... I don't blame RJ or CMac for creating a monster, the rules are lined out and you know if you walk the line. No need to open dialogue, this isn't kindergarten.

Ain't that the truth.
And yet...as nearly universal as it appears that he stepped waaaaaay over the line (a long time ago)...there is still some hand-wringing going on. Go figure.
No matter how obvious or egregious the infraction, there is always a group that rallies around the offender....it's almost like they like supporting an as#@&%e, just for the sake of devil's advocate.
Personally, I'd like to see the whacking criteria widen out a little more- not just towards those who threaten ST itself, but to those who actively stalk and threaten others in this forum. Nobody wants to have that kind of bullshit around here.
