Looking forward to a TR from young Jack! We used to have the freezeout contests when we were young. Good times.

a 1 minute burn with a small propane stove inside a small tent will warm it up to 70 degrees, repeat every hour , have to be real careful, but it sure is nice,
a light blanket draped over the tent under the fly will also keep things toasty,

That sucks briham. Hope there wasn't too much damage.
I returned to my house in Flagstaff one december to find water had been spraying out under the kitchen sink for a couple of days! Luckily, the insurance covered it because there had been a power outage.
I got a new floor and cabinets, but insurance never pays for everything.
+1 Sprock, I think carbon monoxide is overrated . . .

Very cold in Alberta these days. -30C a few days ago. Coldest I have experienced was -57C in NE BC 15 years ago.
Some people say once it gets colder than -40 it does not make a difference. They have never been in -57

The bottom dropped out.
This morning was officially the coldest day in the county in 76 years!
4 degrees in St George!
My north facing driveway is a 2" thick sheet of ice.
I tried pouring a cup of gasoline down one tire lane and lit it.
Didn't melt very much.
I need my 4WD just to get to the street and back.

We're having a heat wave.
It got all the way to 39 today, and some of the 2" of ice in the driveway actually melted!

The main reason why I don't like Salt Lake is right now. Inversion. Cold, grey and smoggy. Going to go up the hill to Park City tomorrow, where it will be warmer and sunnier.

Hey, I thought you weren't allowed to use the word "smoggy" in Salt Lake.
A little bit of inversion, sure, but really? Smog, like California?
You're walking on thin ice, seems like.

Great. Now only California can have smog.
You ever been in SLC when the air is soup?
