There had to be at least 500 empty seats in the left field upper deck.
I'm guessing there must have been a scheduling conflict with the RuPaul
show in North Beach.

Scutaro for the win again. What a play at home. Glad Fielder slid for the plate and not Posey.
7-4-2, first time in WS history.

Say Hey Willie Mays. Hot town Fall in the city.
I like that 3 home runs in a World Series stat. (The Babe (2), Reggie, Pujols and The Panda).
My brother was an ardent life-long Detroit Tigers fan (since the days of Al Kaline).
Gotta go with the big cats.
Al was a pretty good player
Kaline bypassed the minor league system and joined the team directly from Baltimore's Southern High School as an 18-year-old "bonus baby". Probably not as good as Ted Williams though (Hoover).
Al at 20 .340
Ted at 22 .406

If Prince Fielder's ass wasn't so huge Posey would have missed the tag.
Are the Tigers sponsered by Jenny Craig?

Not bad. 3-0. Goal of winning at least one in Detroit is done. With the way the momentum is going I am fairly sure we will win this thing in Detroit. Well done Giants.

Yes, I'll wear my Giants jersy to work tomorrow or at least on my afternoon walk today. Watching games for 15yrs in Bangkok, keeps me in touch with my childhood. Played a lot of ball as a kid. The great game.

Woohoo what a series so far! Giants pitching has been amazing. I would hate to be one of the Tigers R Gunna Win predictors on the 1st page. How does that crow taste? :)

Question: Is it even possible for a foreign team to play in the "World" Series?
Well, Toronto won it twice, about twenty years ago, and the last I looked was still in Canada. Although few of their players were Canadians.
There are other countries that take baseball fairly seriously, and have professional leagues. Until you start inviting them, it's just another parochial bit of exceptionalism. Canada got the shock of its life 40 years ago, when we discovered other countries play hockey as well or better than us, and that we'd better start inviting them if we wanted any credibility. Overall it has apparently benefited the game, although it still has major flaws - as do all commercial sports.

WTF - Cabrera takes a fastball right down the pike?
Now the Tigers can get back to doing what they do best: overeat.
