Verlander is tough, but we were underdogs to outstanding Philly and Texas pitchers in 2010 and kicked butt.
I think the Giants will be flat on Wednesday, not enough time to recover and be focused for Verlander. The pitching matchups are all messed up.

Was "Fear the Beard" two years ago,
This year should be "Fear the Weird", the Giants have so much Charisma on their team, it's amazing. I wish I had 1/83rd as much energy as that Brian Wilson guy does.

I think Detroit may be flat for the first game. It seems like the team that gets to sit around for almost a week comes out flat. The Giants haven't had that time to relax and lose focus. They have had to keep that edge.
I just wish the series was being played in Candlestick. Talk about home field advantage. Every pop up for a visiting team was an adventure!!!
