Count me and Jeff in! You all may not know us yet but we have been climbing there for about 5 years, and have missed the faceoff in the past. Let me know what we can do or bring?

Sweet can't wait for the face-off!! As for the land owner who is being slandered as a meth head, which I's apparently what every body thinks mountian boys are, I don't think anyone would want other peoples trash and stolen burnt vehicles from some idiots who have no respect for the place left all over your property!!! Just remember a country boy can survive, spit some beech nut in your eye, and shoot ya with his old 45!!! Ha, the dude who put the gate up is actually pretty cool and has no problems with climbers, just disrespecting fools who trash the place! This is a chance to help keep tollhouse a great place to climb! Let's respect the area, and have many more days of climbing fun!

OK so I got 18 shirts... didn't want to get stuck with a bunch. I'm too poor.

Dwight and/or will have them, so get 'em early! $15

they're a black screen on a tangerine color shirt, did my best with sizes...

Hey Slater, I'll be there and I want one. Can I get one early or will they be there?

I'll take a Large.

I will be there "early" but your version of early is different than most people's ;)
I won't be there at 5am if that's what you mean! But if you're there at 9:30am or so I'll be there. I'll be the guy in the tangerine Faceoff shirt!

I would have ordered more but this thread has been sorta tame so it's hard to gauge. According to Dwight it's gonna be a huge party, but who knows!?

I'd say about 4 are already spoken for (Dwight XL, P.Rob XL, me L, and you L) ha ha, so we'll see how it goes. I think Jeremy wants one too? He looks like a small... maybe extra small.

They'll be a collector's item for sure!

By the way, I may be there solo (Macronut, my partner, just had his elephantiasis flare up again).....so I'll have no partner...friendless...belayless....on my own....one man one dream.....a rope my rack and a tangerine shirt on my back. Anybody need a partner for Saturday? I'll bring breakfast burritos from Fresno's finest taco truck....

I hope to be there, micronut, and if so, I'll be stag just as you are. I can only stay on Saturday, though.

Hairyapeman, how did you guys do on the Captain?

Funny you guys are talking about bailing! I bailed about 600 ft up the captian, due to a change in heart. Just too much dang work...among other reasons. It was a good experience none the less. Pass the pitons pete is up there with his new partner. Follow them at elcapreports.com. Hope they make it! Oh and please order me and jeff large shirts! Can't wait. I'll bring some water, soda, and beer eh?

5 days to the Tollhouse Faceoff.

Looks like good weather and somegreat raffle items, but you've got to be there Sunday.

Time to dust off those adrenal glands and make your Momma proud!

Cross country skis, Evening gown and high heals, Roller skate and full wildland firefighter gear (whites not climbing shoes). Whats next? Does anyone have a new idea for the TT let us know. So we can plan on taking pics. Please no g-strings or nudity unless other people think you have a body that should be shown. The last thing we need is to look up and see somthing that will take all of our water to wash the image out of our eyes. Climbing through yak is not my idea of climbing fun, if i wanted that i'd go to the valley where there's plenty of bodily fluids on the rock and at base.

all,

just for confirmation, will following these directions get me to tollhouse rock? (fr: rc.com)
Nearest town or city: Fresno
Directions: Drive west on Hwy. 168 and follow the signs to the town of Tollhouse. Head up the hill from Tollhouse toward the obvious large dome. Continue on past the dome(several switchback turns) until a dirt road is reached above and behind(north of) the rock. Turn right on the dirt road and follow it, taking all uphill forks until you reach a saddle under the power lines. Hike up a jeep trail to an intersection. Left goes to a gully next to the east slab of Tollhouse. Right leads to the top section called Cap Rock.

should i be concerned about parking?

thanks,
g

Gy, If you're a real person, No....Them directions aint right. Travel East on 168. And they're a bit vague, you'll get lost. Send me an e-mail message and I'll dial you in.

A couple security questions to make sure you're not a troll......

If you really are a climber from North Carolina,

1. What mysterious mammal is the mascot for Brevard College, not far from Looking Glass Rock.

2. Name the First ascentionist of The Warrior's Way on Whitesides

3. In what Gorge might you find the route "The Daddy"

4. What was Doc Bayne's real first name.

See you there!

Camahoo, that's some funny sh#t. Hopefully you are planning to do the TT with a Banana Hammock on. I think Micronut is looking for a partner and I'm sure he'd enjoy your Bignuts.

you must be Gate-in. realy?. You'er one of those shuteye locs from noth fork, not from the coast so why would you talk. When the issue is really on your side of the river. Button heads, line theft, stolen gear and chopping bolts. At tollhouse i can climb the TT in what ever i feel like that day and no ones there cuz they are all in your hood. F'en it for you so now who wins.

It's sad cause I'm not up there, but those hills are fine. I'll show you how to climb that thing someday when I figure it out:), but until then get back to work.
