The 20th Annual Tollhouse Faceoff is being held on October 15-16 2011 at Tollhouse Rock east of Fresno CA. This year's event will benefit the ACCESS FUND and the AMERICAN SAFE CLIMBING ASSOCIATION. Come and get a taste of "Tollhouse Trad", meet new and old friends and bid on some great raffle items for a couple of great causes.

feel free to email me with any questions and hope to see you there.

Yeeehaaa! It is on my calendar and I am talking it up to the kids.

Love the new guidebook. Cool history stories and great photos. Lots of routes that I had no idea about.

Paul! Glad you like the guide man!

Locals, regulars, and newcomers welcome. There will be plenty of guidebooks on hand if you need a copy of the new one! Bring your Benjamins!

Maybe Dwight will even sign it for you!

Okay ya'all,

So this is a non-event-event on public lands; a gathering of climbers at a beautiful big rock. The important thing is, it's about celebrating having such a cool place to climb, sharing this place with great friends and working together to preserve this and other very cool areas in the western Sierra.

We're here to have fun, climb some great climbs and also to make friends with the local neighbors.

It will be very important that:
*we leave the place cleaner than we found it,
*that we're very respectful to the area property owners (particularly those who take access to their properties along the Burrough Mtn. Rd.), and,
*that we show that we can responsibly partner with the public lands officials in protecting this and other wonderful public resource.

We'll be asking everyone to participate in the success of this gathering so we can have more of these in the future.

looking forward to seeing you there....flydude

Is this also going to be a crag cleanup?

Or just a big climbing fest?

I've got it in my claendar, although I may only be able to make it on Saturday. Sad to say, even though I've lived in Fresno since 1982, and first climbed at Tollhouse in 1970, I haven't been able to make it to Faceoff yet for various reasons. I hope I can break that streak this year.

I'm pretty sure I'm going on Sunday just to hang out, might even bring my harness to look like a climber. Dwight and Tom thanks for the guidebook it is very professional and glad to have it.

Thanks Just In

Donut... you must be on the wrong climb. I guess some others have done it. We've heard .10a and .9 so far.

Paul S. It will be a gathering of climbers to climb routes, have some campfire stories, have fun, and make friends. Costumes on the Tollhouse Traverse may win you some style points. We will clean up after ourselves of course and pick up older trash in the area. So it is mostly about climbing, not a "service project."

Slater, I was on your climb and I saw the drill dust and freshly broken flakes. I was kidding about 5.7 because hang em high seemed pretty hard to be called 5.8, which is about what I'd call your route, unless your grading on the Spencer system then 5.10a might be right.
