Clippy, I just see some people using drugs as political tools. And psychological tools.
It goes with Pharmaceuticals too. Ironic because I have respect for the hippies who can eat organic and avoid all the crap. Especially the BigPharma crap. But it also is coming to pot. It has.

Let's put it this way, you can get pulled over drunk and WALK away. You get pulled over stoned and you're in jail.
When I first moved to Texas we had drivethru daqueri bars. Passengers could drink in a car and you could put your gun on the dash.

I love burning with the good Dr. Sprock. I just smoked out Radical on Monday. It was even my gear.
But I'll prolly be dry for a while. Comes and goes.

Blue, thinking that pot legalization is a conspiracy to control the masses is misguided. Not until the medical movement gained traction, did it have a snowball's chance. Never thought I'd see it get this far. Alcohol is a much worse vice IMHO.

I'm not talking about vices, Mimi. I AM talking about a subversive cultural 'dumbing' though. And yeah, I sound like Klimmer when I say it's intentional.
But whatever. I'm not saying pot is worse than alcohol. Just more useful. People who abuse alcohol tend to be confrontation and angry (not me, hehe), and potheads tend to be passive and submissive.
generally speaking.
EDIT:
The red herring is Bluering's posit that drugs are foisted on a population to achieve pacifism by a state in order to have political and economical aquiescence. Drugs for pleasure VS. good medical results are about profit.
This is where alcohol, gambling and in a circular fashion tobacco come in as a somehow legitimately taxable avenue.
You know I'm kinda right...the tobacco and alcohol is different..kinda...
