DMT- I know some of your crags, but not the first one.
Salamanizer- I got the Eagle Butress, you posted a cool TR here a while ago. Your mysteriour crag near 1 million people has me intrigued.
The Mt. Diablo stuff looks really cool. If I ever get sentenced to a stint in the Bay Area again, I'll check it out. I never got to those ones when I was a kid.

Ricardo - for your last several pics, I'm guessing western UT.
Wack - good luck on the project come spring. Looks familiar, but then again, so do all of the obscurities buried within the western slope of the Sierra...

Climbing in obscure areas has always been my favorite climbing. New routes with my buds and buddettes...
California, less than three hours from LA, nicer in the winter than Josh, unrestricted camping and no rangers...
The approach hike is not for wimps.

110-125 degree overhanging highball/TR problems on the side shown here. the top of the formation (going up the hill) starts out as a thin steep face at the bottom but ends up as 5.0 slab and some 10 foot steps at the top with some bouldering problems. not the most stellar for climbs but this rock has some of the most unique features ive ever seen on granite, which is obviously not captured by this picture. if only you could find more of it elsewhere. beautiful stone.
NOTE: look for Tahquitz in the background =)

Choss? Knott!
There's one bit of the flake over my head there which could break if some yahoo got up there and really yarded on it, but you would have to be sieging the thing on top rope to do that since yarding on it is not the right way to climb it. Other than that the whole face is perfect clean granite.
A perverse affection for hiking up steep terrain is a requisite for climbing there. My "three hours from LA" description does not include the approach - I count that as part of the climb... ;-)

Steep approaches are what make the climb for me. Makes you want to climb whatever you end up at since you put so much effort into getting there haha. So is this north east of LA? It doesnt look like the typical desert granite but the Jtree comment is throwing me off.
