"We all gotta die sometime"

Just don't die up there Steve.
I remember you and Bellizi helping me schlep my gear up to the base of the Dihedral for an aborted attempt on the Horsechute. Same positive energy back to you. By the way, I'm in CA for a few weeks, it'd be great to see you.

you know how rock climbing guides are, they are like condoms, you don't really need them, but it sure is a lot safer with them.

LUCK!

ah, you'll be fine. why? because you're good enough, you're smart enough, and doggonit -- people like you!

i know this because my mighty spiritual guide told me so...

though you will suffer, surely.

as i once noted on a somewhat similar wire, there are stunningly attractive professional ladies in SF who will beat the absolute crap out of you, then piss on you -- and all for less than $150 (if you go for the fast and furious option, more if you go for the executive slow burn misery).

i know this to be true because i once shared a 3 bdr apt with such a pro -- one of the most polite and erudite people i have ever shared a place with. when i learned what she did for a remarkably phat living, i was rather stunned. she graduated magna c#m laude from harvard -- no shipoopoi. "ah, it pays for paint" she told me. her gig and goal was painting (like on canvas).

such a smackdown sounds like A4 to me (i myself truly suck at big wall big aid; i once followed at most maybe A3 way up there and posolutely wet myself.) A4 solo in january is simply beyond my imagination.

i have Rebecca's cell phone number - PM if you want it. surely the most physically stunning woman i have ever seen. she used to wander around our apartment all damp and naked after a shower. now i forever saw all of my lady roomates as sisters rather than potential prom dates -- but this one little sister made me feel rather weebly at times. so i once asked her if she might go with a robe or a towel or something. and she replied that if i ever said that again she would have to hurt me - and massively. safe to say i never made that request again.
~~~
now me, personally, if i were contemplating an A4 big wall solo on the big one in January, i'd defer that misery and go with an SF pro the likes of Rebecca -- all the pain in a fraction of the time, and at fraction of the price of an A4 rack.
but then, every soul must make their own call.
so "Go Dog, Go" (title of my favorite book from my early childhood).
like what's the worse thing that could happen?
