so, i've got 16 pitches fixed on El Cap right now and i'm going up tomorrow by my lonesome to finish the f@#ker off. I'm doing Genesis, a 10 pitch line that takes off from el cap tower and surfs between tribal rite and the dawn wall before joining the dawn wall for the last five pitches. i got driven off by the record cold and rain that hit right after the full moon(dec 2) of last month. I finally have a window to try and finish this thing off.
Not exactly the way i wanted to climb it, but as i said to somebody before...I WANT TO SUFFER BUT I DON'T WANT TO DIE!. Shipoopoi

Thanks guys for the support. yeah bryan, my lines have been up there for a month, but they are 11mm statics for the most part. wish i hadn't dropped that one tomahawk.
I wish i had been able to finish it off last month, it is so hard to get the psyche back up. hope the sun shines on me, shipoopoi

thanks sanjan, that confirms what i have been looking at too, that the jetstream has moved north and it should be minimal precip over the next week.
if it wants to hammer, i say bring it on this time, i ain't coming down till the fat lady sings.
thanks elliot, it will be suffering in style.
Gene, of course i'm happy in that photo, that was before my partner turned tail and left me to finish the the rig solo.
thanks ed, you are right, once i get going i should be fine. i got second place in a poker game of nine last night, so i'm feelin' it right now. shipoopoi

hey there shipoopoi, say, as the old saying goes:

a man's got to do what a man's got to do...
he just has to--thus--no regrets...

course, a man must take care as well, and turn as the current
turns, as to nature... *meaning weather etc...

say, if you believe now is the time, no one will know
better than you...

i'll be in your corner rooting and praying with
all these folks..

god bless, take care...
this will be your first new year share...

Dude

You are one scrawny bad azz. Hope you get just the right adventure.

I'd jump at the chance to go up there and do all the hauling and belay you and sh#t, but I stubbed my toe and hate the cold!
