Thanks to all for their wishes. Here are a few photos from the surgery. We return to the doctor on the 23rd to get the stitches removed - I'll get some shots of that to post.

Before. Which is the 'bad' foot?

Before shot

As per doctor's instructions, we had to note which was the 'wrong' foot.

Pre-op. Nice bonnet!

Recovery - drugs on board.

Two toes didn't respond well (two smallest) so we stayed a little longer with her foot down to encourage circulation.

On the way home!

so i guess when you bring in your favorite shoe, they can pretty much shape your foot to fit ... is that what we've got going here?
wow, wait till the kingsbury crowd catches on. well, that is bigfoot country up there.

hoping for the best kind of outcome for you, callie. it's a long way from your heart but still, a gal's gotta have hooves.

Nice Jefe! Does it hurt?

If not, no worries!

If agonizing (and if you are climbing, sounds like it is not) you could definitely get that beast fixed! Bone saw here, bone saw there, bone saw over there... screw that, screw this, toss that bone chunk in the trash, cut that tissue, tighten this tissue and you'll be good as new (and get a prescription of hydrocondone as a contestant's prize! :)

Shouldn't people with extreme Morton's foot make the best thin crack climbers?

Crimps, don't forget! Go see Chuck Bird at Neptunes. He will make you a set of custom footbeds that will have your tootsies singing Ava Maria.
