By the way, was it a foot surgery? I misremembered.

If you need anything stronger than the drugs the doctors give you, let me know. I'll make a couple phone calls, we'll see what we can find.

Latest breaking news from Colorado. The crimpster asked me not to reveal this, but its just too juicy. We all know how the Crimpster luuuves birds. Well, this surgery was to give her bird feet. Yes, the transformation has begun. She had nuthatch feet attached this morning. You bird lovers will know that nuthatches climb up and down trees, so the Crimpster decided that for that next occasion when Brassnuts takes the Crimpie into a death defy situation, she would get nuthatch feet so that she can just down climb. Tah Dah.. No more worries. Now she can follow Dave anywhere.

Of course this might leave Dave to have to solo from whatever situation he has brought the crimpster, but then they don't call him brassnuts for nothing.

I haven't gotten photos yet, but hopefully someone will reveal them soon.

Ah, you guys are great. Had to be at the surgery center at 6:30am and everything moved as planned. The drugs were awesome (aren't they always?). I 'woke' up a few times during the procedure and looked down to see why Dr. Shonka was tugging and pulling. One raise of the head and more joy juice was administered. Life was grand.

I've heard many stories about how awful this recovery is. I have to say, today was quite good. Yeah, I've been eating hydrocodone, but I'm not loopy (any worse than usual), and have been comfortable. Elevation is key. That is clear. Hopefully I don't sing a different tune tonight or tomorrow.

Ah, and for those who don't know, it was a pretty good bunion 'deformity' correction. In climbers language, it was surgery so I can climb again without agony. Can't wait for it to heal.

Dave did take some photos. They wouldn't let him in to see the good stuff so we've none of those. We'll see what we can post...

:)
