BaD..... so sorry for your loss...looks to me like Django was already in dog heaven the entire time he was with you.
trust me the pain will go away, over time.
dogs have a short life for a reason I think.

It took me a milkbone to get them to sit for the camera. You can see Boba Fett drooling. He likes to shake his head and wear the string proudly across his schnozzle.

He's a deceiver DMT. I have to admit that I just ran him four miles before that. Do you know where I was in that photo?

Bad, we lucked out when we found Moqui. A year ago we lost the younger of our two corgis(he was 12), and it took a while to be comfortable with that.
This past spring my wife asked to meet a dog that she saw online at the Boulder shelter, and while that dog didn't feel like the right fit, I happened upon Moqui sitting quietly in a single pen. He was a rescue from the Houston floods; unchipped, unclipped, and all alone in a strange state with the unfortunate temporary name of Noah (flood rescue, get it? He never answered to it.)
He's gentle, loves to hike, is super agile, but needs to stay on leash. He has a strong game drive, and rabbits or turkeys are like crack to an addict.
He's been a natural addition to our family, a four legged blessing in disguise.

Our black Lab, Emma, is totally blind now due to diabetes. We are shopping for a helmet for her at present because she is still banging into things with her head a lot. Does anyone know of a good dog helmet or dog hard hat product out there?

@Bushman: That's tough news. Kind of funny imagining a lab in a helmet. Are such things even made? Please, post a pic!
@Edge: Great story about the pup, and super congrats on 30 years. You're a lucky man. We were lucky with Django as a hiking dog. He never strayed far. If he got a head on the trail, he'd always stop, even backtrack, to make sure we were coming. He had a strong drive to keep the pack together.
