Still at the Gunks. Leaving here on 12/10-11, for a few days visiting family in Chicago, and then going as fast as possible to warmer temps. My expectation is to get to JT a bit after the new year.

I have two dogs, Mica (female) and Buster (male). Both were strays, abandoned near my house and near starving when they showed up at my doorstep. When I go hiking or climbing locally I also take Flash, another abandoned dog that my neighbors take care of. My other neighbors have a dog named "Coffee". He's a great little dog and has decided to join the pack. He doesn't go with us when I load up the dogs in the car for a short drive, but he shows up just about every time when we go walking from my house.
Here I am trying to put on my game face for bouldering when Coffee shows up for some loving. Warning: some language may be inappropriate for some people.

Poor.. Coffee..He just wants some love....
ps, La Curva, is the name of my favorite Taco truck. It's on a crazy curvy turn..kind of a blind entrance and exit....really good food though.

Our dog's life recently: Climbing in the Lower Owen's River Gorge yesterday. This is how we cross the river now that he fell in earlier this year. Scared the crap out of us! One dog died that weekend. He's 50+ lbs. o' love. The pup has had cancer for about a year and keeps on keepin' on. His back legs are a little unsteady, although he walks pretty well. We're super careful in all sketchy situations now.
