... until he wakes up ...
I'd be careful with the drugs and neg vibe of a hospital - he may get too good a view of the other side, and check-out on us.

First thing that I checked this morning. Scott is obviously fighting. Good. I pray for you to have the strength to fight back hard. I hope that you find some comfort and joy in the family and extended family rooting for you.

Scott's sister Lori and I have started a fundraiser to help Scott on his road to recovery, please do what you can. Everything helps. There is no amount too small. If we all give a little, it adds up to a lot!

The link to the fundraiser is:
http://gfwd.at/1wfaY31

If that doesn't work, you can just go to giveforward.com and search for the fundraiser under his name.

Thank you!

And, if you aren't in a position to contribute financially, I ask that you please continue praying and keep the positive energy coming!
Also, you can leave a note or a *hug for him on the fundraiser page.

No offense intended to Holly, but can largo or someone else please confirm that the fundraiser is indeed legit. I will be happy to donate to Scott, but want to make sure that the money is indeed getting to him.

Again, offense intended to Scott's family. I wish him and his family all the best.

This is terrible news. Glad to hear he will pull through.

Many years ago Scott Cosgrove taught me how to lead at Joshua Tree, and more importantly how to think independently while climbing, not think by rote.

I also saw him casually solo up a route I still flail on trying to top rope.

All the best to him.

Coz-mamma

You've been though many challenges, you're one of the most determined people I've ever known. Keep fighting the good fight, and we'll look forward to hearing about more your life's adventures soon.

Heal well from this one.

No problem neebee. I figured people on here might want to know about it. And, nrockclimber ... no offense taken. I get it. If you go to the fundraiser page, you will see that Scott is the beneficiary and his sister Lori is funds manager. I am just helping with the fundraiser. I have been a friend of the family since high school.

No offense from me either, but shouldn't the film company be stepping up pretty big here?

Chief, I think that's right. We are doing the fundraiser to help him with all the other, and unknown costs associated with his recovery. Insurance doesn't always cover everything.

It is not your job to place blame.

This thread is about support for an injured brother.

I don't see the Chief's post as placing blame. He's just trying to get clarification.

I didn't blame anyone. I asked a question, a legitimate one.

Also, I have offered my support to Coz.

Stating that the production company should "step up pretty big" points to them as a party that is somehow responsible for this accident.

Pud, I didn't say a word about culpability.

The EMPLOYER should be paying some bills, regardless of whose fault it was.

There seems to be some confusion as to the concept of responsibility (i.e. "blame") versus liability in the eyes of the insurer for the film company. I think The Chief was concerned as to whether or not the film company was stepping up to the plate and helping financially.
