I used to run a 1948 Allis-Chalmers model G that had been retro fitted with a floating grader board. I sure wish I had one of those now.

And spotted this on the way to work; such a sexy chassis, even in disrepair.

A model A sitting out in the snow!
Bring it into the garage and fire up a coffee maker beside it.

If you mean the rig atop this page, sitting in her little copse, I like to imagine this already happened.
She sits about 50 yards off Route 1 in Northport, sort of the start of economic depression along that coastal road. Her perch seems deliberate rather than accident or inevitable; I suspect her owner wants to show her a bit without risking vandals sullying her reputation.
You can see her paint, and while clearly not a full restore, it speaks to me of a month or winter under roof or canvas, with a short-stack woodstove or kerosene blower and yes, cups of joe, black with a pinch of salt (lots of ex-Navy around here). Her immediate neighbors being run-down trailers, overgrown dooryards, and abandoned sheds from gone-by boatbuilders, once you know where to look, she stands out like an apple among withering fall leaves.

I could not have built my house without my Ford 8N tractor. All the beams I made in the woods were hauled out by the 8N; including many truck loads of logs used for floor boards etc.

Been thinking about GhoulweJ a bit this week.
Not sure why; only knew him here.
Anyway, tractor bump, dude.
Damn right we've got nitro. But seats'll cost ya.
Trike or row, ready to plow, harrow, plant.
All straight lines and business.
Plenty of 8Ns and even 9Ns around, but we don't see many 800s.
40hp at the bar, yessir.
Everybody's got a pretty Farmall, for parades and fairs and such.
How many miles mowed before put to pasture propping pulpwood?
Power redirected.
Keep your tools and lunch handy. Maybe the newborn, too? Might be darn soothing.
Change every 120 hours.
This, not so much.
If I got to pick, this would come home with me.
Darn near 50hp, $5K new in 1969.
Solid, Jackson.
Closer to home, this rig recently appeared.
Nice view.
Thanks for looking.
