I don't get the OT rules that if the receiving team scores a touchdown on their first possession, then its over. Why doesn't the kicking team get a chance?

At this point, after decades of watching football, I believe that I can categorically state: Officiating has ruined the game.
At this point the only "fix" (and it's a bad one) will need to be something like: Every play can be challenged, both for calls and for non-calls, so that every officiating decision (both for calls and for non-calls) can be reviewed. There have to be more challenges available, and the penalty for losing such a challenge should be much lower (not a full time-out).
The other alternative is to just let 'em play, and recognize that it's a very bang-bang game. So, basically, the calls amount to false-start and off-sides. All this safefication of the game is untenable and leads to wild arbitrariness. But if you're gonna call helmet-to-helmet, then CALL helmet-to-helmet, particularly against a defenseless receiver.
There was a ref right next to the personal-foul, helmet-to-helmet play. That ref is obviously not competent enough to be in the game, certainly not reffing major games. High school games, perhaps. Maybe.
Most egregious and game-significant non-call I can remember. And when it went to overtime, I thought, "At this point, the Rams will win."
I'm fine with either team going to the SB; no ax to grind here. But, as was the case throughout the season, bad reffing significantly affected the outcome.

At least three of those non-calls today really calls their honesty, or more, into question.
Of course, the fact that many refs are lawyers puts paid to that question.
Pats’ secondary has the Chiefs’ receivers on house arrest.
Mahomes is fearless but that can’t last.
That was a fast 3rd quarter!
