13 out of 32 teams have winning records right now.
You are what your record says you are.

I don't watch much pro-football, but I tuned into the Cowboys - Eagles game on Sunday night to see how Riggens Idaho, 8-man football grad, Boise State standout, rookie Leighton Vander Esch was doing.
Outstanding!
If you were one of the many who hissed and booed when the Dallas Cowboys selected linebacker Leighton Vander Esch with the 19th overall pick in April’s NFL draft, it’s way past time to get on the rookie’s bandwagon.
Vander Esch had a star-making night in the Cowboys’ 27-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday that included his first-career interception, a game-saving tackle for a loss on a huge third down and a team-leading 13 tackles. He was a game-changing presence.
Vander Esch has meshed well with Jaylon Smith. Vander Esch leads the team with 77 tackles, including 62 solo tackles. Smith, who is second with 71 tackles and 47 solo. The biggest solo tackle of the season came with the Eagles trailing by a touchdown on 3rd and 2 after the two-minute warning. Vander Esch fought off two blockers to trip up Corey Clement in the right flat for a five-yard loss. Dallas took over on downs on the next play.

Packers trail the Seahawks who've scored twice in five minutes in the second quarter.
2 min. warning.

This weekend is the fiftieth anniversary of The Heidi Game.
It's like the TV networks have learned nothing in 50 years.

Why, is Heidi on tonight?
BITD the Jets were down by two touchdowns with a couple of minutes to go. The network figured the game was done and switched to playing Heidi. Namath led the Jets to the win.
Losta good college games yesterday and pro games today.

Great-googly-eyes?!
ya guys aren't watchin yer Chargers?
not that it matters then
but
Some shady zebrastripes calls as the last 2 minutes ran down.
The blatant, was a wrong-way pass interference call against the visiting Brancos. The call was the other way, The booth saw it, called it correctly Davis of the Chargers , if he had looked for it, had a good play on the ball, just had to step in & to grab it. That would have been an interception and ended the game.
Instead Davis the Chargers player, played the Bronco's man, pushing Patrick to the ground. This was obvious in real time and no way that the replay showed different. The play & shady call were not reviewed Couldn't understand it. shoddy dodgy business, it looked like favoring the home team.
Then the Chargers coach was allowed to Ice the kicker with 00:30 (seconds)
on the clock, when that field goal would have won the game, by a point. The ice the kicker play sent mmy host ballistic, the next kick was good too, the Broncos won 23 to 22.
I snuck out to share here to find not a peep about a great Chargers home game.
I was down the street, its dark, raw & cold out side. I was well ensconced in the thick of suburban man-dom, headed for a victory single malt, as the rubes here were unapologetic Broncos fans. I was rooting for your guys, guys
Go Chargers, in my mind.
I guess it was not aired out there?
Dong nabit,
Its to late to go back for a clean up night cap with the ladies waiting to go home.
I'll walk the dog back and just suss it out, at least a can of some smooth chocolate stout... wish me luck.
heh, yeah, good neighbors a local Connecticut brewery's darkest.5.9%AbV. smooth bitter-sweet mocha, not so much chocolate,
that seems more marketing, still an all good beer.

Nearly another identical TD controversy when Roethlisberger scored against the Jaguars in the final seconds this weekend. Love my Steelers but the ball control and where his knees touched certainly were in question. Last years call against the Steelers when Roethlisberger threw a slant pass to Jesse James was pure crap! Dood caught it.....plain and simple, with the ball passing the line. Merry Christmas Pats.

What is that? Like a dozen penalties for KC in the first quarter?
I'm thankful that the good people of Mexico City didn't have to see this.
