I've been traveling this week, and it isn't helping with the diet and exercise. The contest has been helping to keep me from eating anything too awful. A friend took me to a great vegetarian place in New York, and I went a little crazy for mushrooms at a mezze place in DC last night. Nothing too bad (other than lots of wine), but too much of it. It is hard to break the habit of filling up n a free meal. There has been freezing rain in DC, so no running (lots of sliding cars and people falling down). I did get in a swim. I started the week 8 down from the start of the contest and 17 down since I started dieting. I might just squeak by.

jbaker - can u stop at a grocery store to get food instead of restaraunts? that's what i do if i forgot lunch

sue - can u just eat small amounts thru the day? that might help. it also keeps your metabolism up. i got hella busy and forgot lunch and dinner yesterday and then i had a half energy bar in math class drank a bottle of water and was fine. i didn't want to eat the whole energy bar bcuz they have too many calories. then when i got home i had a salad.

Was doing great the first half and not much loss on the second half of the money challenge.
With slim guys loosing around 14+ pounds i dont think ill make the winners circle.

But even if i have to pay one or two pounds worth (yeah thats right my paypal sends in euros for the conversion savings) (you want in... just set up a swiss paypal account) i will still be happy with a great start to the spring with a good kick in the ass. thanks everyone!

Weigh - out tommorrow night. Post valentines sex . 11.59 PM

FishFinder, it's shaking out this way because your first couple
posts Filled The Rest of Us with FEAR. Everyone asked: "Am I the
easy money this guy is talking about?"
I don't want to lose another shirt, just a pants size.

jbaker, congratulations go to you as well. That extra chunk you
lost before the challenge even started would have been too big a
handicap for most.

Ugh, totally derailed on the whole affair, but having it in the back of my mind probably kept me from adding any weight which counts this time of year up here in the heart of darkness...

Joseph, my notes aren't complete on you. I don't recall what your mid-point weigh in was. Did you make the 4 pounds down or do you owe $10.00 in penalty?

Otherwise, 3 1/2 down will run you $65.00 bones unless you owe on the penalty.

I FAILED, I won't give my excuse, (it's just something about being sick and my mom told me to "feed my cold"..... awwww poor thing), there are no excuses!!!. I weighed in at 143 today. =( 9 lbs... but, I still feel svelte, and I’m not quitting; going for 8 more to bring me to 135 lb. Congrats everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day xoxoxoxoxoxox I’m eating my candy as I write. Yumm…

christa and FatTrad, I think that losing 9 pounds in a month is
a great job. I didn't think I could actually lose 10 in a month,
but I thought this challenge would really improve my chances of
losing 6 or 8. My official weighing is this evening.
Regardless of what numbers I've been posting, it's definitely
in question at his point.

Scuffy,

You probably believe in the "new math" where close is enough for youngsters, and sports for kids where they don't keep score!

Just busting your chops (Christa, the failure, and I are getting ready to head out to V.D. dinner). Glad we are not weighing in tomorrow...
