HaHaHa! Watched 5 minutes of the RRRRRAIDERS-Rams Saturday. Rookies trying to make the team were bringing it but it was still meh.

Yeah, it was a bit painful to watch; the last few minutes were worth it. Didn't stare at the boob tube through the whole thing but checked into it once in a while.
edit: did I write "boob tube"? Where's locker when you need him....

I only caught the last few minutes, the philly TD and the almost Atlanta come back. Literally Down to the last second. Great finish.
People who understand the history and complexity of the game typically love it. It’s some of most intense and stategic sports action to watch on the planet. I’ve coached flag football for both my sons for several years and the learning curve to really understand the game and how to play it well is pretty steep. Flag is awesome, it takes out almost all of the injuries and leaves the fun and much of the required skills in place.

Even if the billionaire owners are out of touch with the times, I don't think that will have much, if anything, to do with its popularity.
If it does crash, I suspect it will be down to the injury/violence of the sport.
Mamas not wanting their kids to play football (I wouldn't either) and fewer fans wanting to watch given the injuries and long term issues from head trauma.
But my football watching actually jumped up quite a bit once my health no longer allowed me to climb.
Although anyone complaining about commercials is doing it wrong. The game takes a little over an hour to watch when you use the fast forward button.
