Does anyone want to argue now that Brady isn’t the best QB to ever play the game? That was one hell of a fourth quarter. I had my doubts there for a sec.
Plus, all you Californians should rally around another CA native.

Steve Young was better than Brady. He just didn’t have Belichick and short white guy
receivers who played way above their pay grade.
Hard to discount Joe, too. Steve had crazy scrambling skills. Even Joe made Brady look
slower than he is.

Almost everyone overlooked Brady in the draft because he's not a great athlete. What makes him the GOAT (besides his arm, which is a prereq to even be in the conversation) is his mental capabilities. He is a master at figuring out what a defense is doing and exploiting weaknesses and finding good matchups. He often calls audibles. And goes through his reads really quick to find the best receiver, while often faking the defense out with his eyes. His list of comebacks and game winning drives is ridiculous. IMO he was up there with the best, until the last Super Bowl, with that insane performance where so many plays had to happen just right for them to win he moved into a class by himself.

What are CT and RI chopped liver? ;-)
They were first the Boston Patriots, when they moved to Foxboro they wanted to be the Bay State Patriots, but thankfully the NFL kyboshed that. New England Patriots just sounds right.

T Hocking....I can see you’re a NFC guy. Well I’m an AFC guy and it’s all because of Joe Willie Namath. There was a culture war back then as there is now and the Colts with there buzz cuts and square jaws were definetly part of the establishment.
And there was Joe Willie sitting in a lawn chair by the pool, shaggy hair, drink in hand, twinkle in his eye, cockily guaranteeing a win even though the Jets were huge underdogs. Yo...and didn’t it happen. I believe 16 to 7 was the final count.
Ever since that game this boy from Philly has been a diehard AFC fan. I still identify them as anti establishment although I no that’s silly.
Go Patriots!
By the way, I watched that game at the Cowboy Bar in Jackson Wyoming. The cowboys at the bar, Colt’s fans to the man, smiled indulgently at our group raucously rooting for the Jet’s. Those smiles turned to sneers when the outcome became obvious and I learned for the first time that cowboys had no idea how to throw a straight punch.
Edit: For those unaware this was before the American Football League merged with the NFL and became the AFC. At that time, the Colts were in the NFL,They later became members of the AFC.

Tad, that's exactly what happened when I quit the Raiders' fan club, but in reverse!
I'd moved down to Oxnard/Camarillo in '81 and the next season Al Davis moved the club to LA, holding practices in Camarillo.
During the playoffs of '82 I got aboard the 49er bus and lo and behold they won SB XVI.
I bought a 49ers SB XVI cap and have rooted for them and against the Raiders since.

when I was hanging at the cowboy bar in 81 and 82 their favorite song on the juke box was the Jerry jeff walker rig Redneck Mothers. Poked my head in there 2 summers ago to show Isa my old watering hole. Its a total upscale tourist trap now. a steak was $80.00

Joe Willie was gud theatre. Great arm, not the sharpest chisel on the bench - poor interception ratio
