Jaybro, I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your friend Midnight, who looks more than
a little like our Jack.

I could never tell if his eyes were classic Newfie Brown or had just the yellow touch of the wolf.

Jack's eyes look brown in daylight, like your photo of Midnight. In the dark, reflecting my headlamp,
they glow an eerie amber.

It's all the more eerie because our other dog, also brown-eyed in daylight, glows blue-green in the dark.

We are who we are, Chiloe, my daughter and I have have eyes that vary in the ambiant light, I call mine blue, she claims green. I think we are both closing in, though other people say hazel.

My best to Jack! and the little one whose name i forgot.

That would be Sophie, whose innocent expression doesn't fool us anymore.

Ahh, but she's so cute!

and with her big brother:

As Chiloe knows, both of those pics were taken by either my 11 or 8 yr old daughter, both of whom are now crazy about photographing doggies. A couple from the dozens they took of our Annie last weekend:

But, so sorry about Midnight, Jaybro. Uggh, it is really tough losing a good dog.

We live longer than our dogs, that can be a problem. Also when you are with your dog, they give it everything. Few humans can provide hat much commitement. It's always a tragedy, but there is always a friend, waiting around the corner, as big as that corner might be.

hey there say, all, ....

yep... it's a dog's life among the ol' cats:

but due to her getting her hugs each day, she is near unfazed by the cats at all:

patty ann and me, during one of her walks in the "lesser outdoors"... meaning: we live too far away from the "great outdoors"... ;)

Thought of eKat this morning when we gave Jack a chewy pill from a jar labeled Skadi.
Later, he frolicked in the bay. Came home smelling like seaweed, and patiently got hosed.

hey there dogtown, say, sure loves those GLOWING EYES... :O

for me, its the cats that seem to catch the camera light... patty hasn't yet...

*say, i had to leave her for a few days, as the neighbors watched over her... (and the cats)...

every time i saw a dog, i missed her---when i got home, she had NOT forgotten me, and still loved me...

the cats were easier to adjust naturally, but this was still a bit new to ol' patty ann marie...

also: i love all these dog-share-pics, so if i dont' mention any specific, it is due to they all download slow, so each time i come to visit, i see more and more...
thanks for all the neat "family" pics, you all.... :)

Neebee,

Thanks for being so sweet! I love them dogs! All of them! Hell animals in general, we would be in a bit of a spot without them eh? I know I would be!

Well, it's certainly a dog's life for this one, adopted from a rescue group about six months ago, but sometimes I think he's more wolf than dog!
