Hard to imagine the Mariners in the postseason, but they may yet deserve it. Getting past the Astros, Red Sox, and the hated Yankees would be a miracle. Right now it is hard to imagine any NL bunch getting past that lot.

Looks like Hunter Strickland is still pushing his .10 cent brain to the limit...
Out 6-8 weeks with a fractured hand after punching a door after a blown save. Luckily for Giants fans you can use this as an excuse for the blown saves he will have later in the year when it really counts. Jesu-Cristo he is a dumbass...

ah yes, Earl Weaver, good show
I love Joe Maddon and his style of managing, but I will shed a tear when the last crusty old school manager rides into the sunset (which might have happened, now that I think of it).
I saw Buck Showalter get tossed last night or the night before, and while I like Showalter, it was milquetoast compared to Earl, or Sweet Lou, or Billy Martin, or ...

Let’s see, Bryce Harper in Blake Snell out of All Star lineup, only confirms what Trump’s election showed...there is no justice in this world.

Matt Kemp and Ross Stripling are the only two reasons the Dodgers are in first place. Jason Turner needs a shave and a hair cut so he can turn on a fastball.
Nice to see the Red Sox put a little space between them and da Yankees.
Cubbies are innit and it’s all good as long as the Cards are not.

Votto had them out of the inning on a foul pop up... missed it. Second chance proved to be a HR! The old "make 'em pay" scenario

Love it! AL dominance continues...not that Houston, Boston or New York need home field advantage.
Six in a row and 13 of the last 16.
Home run derby on two successive nights.
10 home runs and 25 strikeouts...the face of baseball today.

Hated to see Diaz give up that home run as he’s been lights out all season. He already has 20 one run saves and the mlb record for a single season is 23. He looked a bit amped up.

Yesterday saw Francisco Arcia make his big league* debut. After 12 years in the minors his first major league hit was a three run homer. Had an RBI single later in the game. Nice. The Angels will miss Maldonado, though, IMHO.
Nick Tropeano only gave up 5 hits. Of course, being 2018, they were 5 homeruns.
*It's just too bad the junior circuit doesn't play real baseball.
