I believe the rock is white quartz .. I've never climbed on anything like it !

Great report.
RE: Clyde Minret. THe red band in your photo has a nice slot behind it in which you can bypass the snow and arrive on the big ledge traversing that side of the mtn. From there you can climb the central chute (easy 5th) or Starr's route (4th)

Thanks Doug ! I'll go back for Clyde sometime .. that ancient Minaret rock is too interesting not to visit again.
