37 some odd years of climbing and I'm about as stoked on this as anything I've ever done. Ever.

This picture shows the closeup:

And this climber, following me, is at the 25 meter mark. Here's a side view pic of that.

Following straight up above that 25 meter arrow mark terminates with this 60/80 foot pinnacle yet to be trod by humans although I have plans, schemes and dreams to soil it despite the rocks which pop off unexpectedly all the time.

Were calling her "The Old Witch".....

Oh yes, she may be an old witch, but she will be mine. Oh yes!

That's a nice rock.
Whereabouts IS that?
You can be vague. I like that.
Peace & good climbing. That's a Stoke, right?

It's in the Pacific Northwest, yet the rock, despite being my wet dream nightly, is unlike anything in these parts, much softer....sweeter....sexier...ahhhhhhh.

It's a conglomerate, but more like an igneous one, where there are solid Andesite/Basalt nodules surrounded by compressed welded Tuft like materiel. The "tuft" weathers out, leaving the harder nodules to dance up. It's so fu*king sweet I can't think at work, I thik of it in all my free time, I can't even sleep without thinking of it. I normally don't like this kind of climbing, when I go to Smith Rocks, I avoid the faces and climb cracks: but this place is so unique and special....There is no face climbing route anywhere at Smith that starts to compare. (there's crack routes at Smith that kicks anything at this place though:-(

I'm "stoked" to be finally out of the rain. Four years at Princton, another two in Philadelphia and my forced education is complete. Now I'm in California with a decent job, some free time and basking in beautiful Ca. sunshine. Now I want to go climbing as much as possible. Oh Yeah! Mike
