What are you Stoked about? What makes you smile? Let's crank up the positive vibrations around here.

Although climbing has taken a back seat for me this summer, the friends and family around me have me way stoked. Daughter Bevin arrives today, my art friends are here and today we pick up a big chunk of walnut to carve.

The Great Spirit, Camping, mountain biking, swimming in the Yuba River, painting, lovers and friends make me feel STOKED!.

its a been a rough year for climbing this summer. i havn't been out west nearly as much as normal, and i just can't bring myself to climb the local crap anymore. but there is absolutely no shortage of stoke going on. its been a banner year for biking, and its still going strong.

our dirt jumps have exploded, and our cooperative efforts with the park district have really panned out. promotion is going very well and we are really starting to get on the map. check out the site we just launched: www.thegardenjumps.com

i've also been killing the singletrack on my 29er and have gotten some really good quality time on the bottlerocket.

7 springs pa. making another trip there next weekend.

well, the climbing season won't be a total loss. in a couple of weeks i'm grabbing a couple of my biker buddies and making the boulder road trip for a bit more than a week. they'll be ridding winter park and so vista every day, and i'll break away for a couple of days so amber and i can hit the flatirons and lumpyridge.

spending all day on a long route with my lady, now THAT keeps me stoked!

(specially when i go rip winter park the day after!)

Goin' to TM with my oldest boy and oldest daughter later this week (and 10b4me and a bunch of other fine folks).

For all the hard work it is at times, I'm always stoked for my four kids. It's amazing how darn cute a 3 1/2 month old, a 3 1/2 year old and a 5 1/2 year old can be. And the 20 year old is just plain amazing (cute too!).

My wife. That's hard work at times too, but beyond totally worth it. Wouldn't trade her for anything, can't even imagine it. But she might trade me. :-)

The cup of Kopi Bali (coffee) I just brewed this morning. Brings back all the memories of that sensual, languid place where art and nature are naturally intertwined.

Good friends, some of whom I've never even met in person.

Not a bad way to start the week!

I am stoked that I was given the opportunity to move to a new country for 3 years. In that same time I was able to learn a new language, make some great friends, watch the kids learn to walk and then run and then climb and swim, learned to core strong spring thermals on my paraglider, skiied before work, did site maintainence at a local hill, stood on top of mt blanc, learned to dig the european perspective on climbing, swam the length of the cinque terra with some friends and then drank beers as the sun set, went to all the sagras I could, learned to make 5 pasta dishes well enough to serve to Italians and actually get small feedback...
And, learned really how much I love our country despite all our f'ed up ideas and onnerous ways - we really are luck to be where you all (well most of you) are and where I will be in a few more months (leaving Italia, ok, is not so much in the stoke category but getting back to San Diego is really something to be stoked about!)

I’m stoked to be stoked to be single. Some people get obsessed with having relationships or not having them. I enjoy spending time alone. If I meet the right climber, I might change my mind. But today, I just feel like aaaah yeah.

Also, as many of you know, I have started a Web site, which has been a huge undertaking, hustling, hustling, hustling, constantly. But the outpouring of support from friends and strangers has made me feel that there is more good in this world than I had ever imagined before. Thanks to everybody who has helped.

I am totally stoked just to be home. For the past two years, I've been travelling close to 50% of the time, and right now it just feels good to be sitting still in my own sanctuary.

I'm also really stoked to have my house all to myself (and my husband). We've just had two rounds of relatives visiting in July and August, and as much as I love them, it's great to have the place to myself!

Incredible Hulk, just before sunset on August 15, 2009 (this past Saturday):

1600 pixel version (so anyone who wants to see it in more detail can view the WIDE version, and I don't get flamed for the "it's too wide for my ancient POS" weenies)

That gets me stoked.
