Until the Palestinian warriors stop taking refuge in schools, and start wearing uniforms, the information is always skewed.Any time the Israelis have engaged an enemy, the opposing side pretends they have only killed civilians. It doesn't help that their enemies also celebrate the end of hostilities as victories despite the body counts. You can't expect Israel to take the count seriously if the other side doesn't.

It sounds like there are apologists for both sides on the Taco Stand. An atrocity is just that... an atrocity.
Now which of you brave souls are going to be apologists for for those who carried out My Lai.
Just an example, and a sad one at that.

The US and our allies are "thugs and bullies" on the block. What ever we do must be ok, because who is gonna tell us different? Right?
At one time we may have been "One Country Under God," but really no more. The atrocities the NWO does and does so in our name, and in God's name (truth be known God can't be further from them), are absolutely criminal and the rest of the world knows it.
The USA unfortunately has become and is the "Mysterious Babylon"

http://www.americathebabylon.com/exerpts.shtml
And our destruction was prophetically described thousands of years ago, and it wont be by man . . . judgement one day will come. It will be in a single day and in a single hour as the Bible says . . . read about "Wormwood" in the book of Revelation.
It won't be as devestating as what this video that follows shows, but nearly so. The US will not make it. Mysterious Babylon will not make it.

15 months after the massacre in Du'jail for which Saddam was hanged, Reagan's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Donald Rumsfeld is in Iraq, shaking Saddam Hussein's hand and pledging our support in his war against Iran.

An investigation by reporter Uri Blau, published on Friday in Haaretz, disclosed how Israeli soldiers were ordering T-shirts to mark the end of operations, featuring grotesque images including dead babies, mothers weeping by their children's graves, a gun aimed at a child and bombed-out mosques.
Another T-shirt designed for infantry snipers bears the inscription "Better use Durex" next to a picture of a dead Palestinian baby, with his weeping mother and a teddy bear beside him. A shirt designed for the Givati Brigade's Shaked battalion depicts a pregnant Palestinian woman with a bull's-eye superimposed on her belly, with the slogan, in English, "1 shot, 2 kills".
Nice guy's. Fatty? Your move.

Actually, I will have to disagree. Some things do get done and some things do get accomplished here on ST.
It is called INFORMATION, GETTING INFORMED ABOUT THE ISSUES (as well as climbing) in a rather easy and social contextual way. That is good. That is the power and what this virtual campfire is all about.
Hey, without our freedoms that "They" hate us for, we ain't climbing.

According to some rational on this board, George Washington, Paul Revere, etc. are terrorists deserved of total disdain. Of course this is nonsense, they fought for their freedom and self determination. Remember, Palestinians have no country, they fight for their freedom. Americans celebrate July 4th as our independence day. Until Palestinians can celebrate their independence day they are honor bound to fight for rights us annoying supertopo posters take for granted.

Oooh Skippy, once again you demonstrate your keen intellectual incapacity.
Delivered with the ferocity of an elementary school whiner. "Oh yeah well my dad can beat up your dad". Ha ha ha. Whew, thanks for the comic relief.

Honestly, you confuse ideology with morality.
First off Skip, your honesty stretches the word credibility to its limit.
Secondly, I have no confusion with ideology and morality.
And third off, maybe Uncle Doug is right about you. Just maybe.
And please do not pray for me Skippy. As an atheist, I find you Satan worshippers a bit hard to take.
You certainly aren't a Christian, that's for sure, if your previous posts are anything go to by.

As reported in Haaretz and mentioned by Scabang; printing shirts with the cross hairs of a scope on a pregnant Palestinian woman's womb and the slogan "One shot two kills" doesn't seem too moral for the moralist army in the world.
Largo if you are interested in learning truth about the bigger picture may I suggest two extremely factual documentaries. 1) The Iron Wall, and 2) Peace, Propaganda and the Promised Land.
If you can not locate them in your area I would lend you copies to view.
You can also get Google the titles and get internet streaming videos.
These will be very illuminating about the stories we in Amerika don't get.

Skip one of the foolish things you do is to assume the mental state of the other.
Usually you are wrong as you are this time. Nothing in me or my post indicates the slightest anger.
But I do happily suggest you check out those two videos. Then perhaps we can have an honest discussion.

Jeff, the whole goddamn thing is a shame. On both sides, but there are far more innocent children on the Palestinian side dying than on the Jewish side. And I say Jewish because it is apartheid. Plain and simple.
Tell me it ain't so.

So Jeff, if it is not apartheid, what do you call the systematic persecution of Palestinians in Israel (and BTW, as you probably know, they aren't treated much better, if any better, in Arab countries)?
They are treated like second-class citizens not only in Israel but in Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt et al. This is according to a number of correspondents, including Robert Fisk, who I know many of you right-wingers despise.
However, he has been at the coalface, and while he has denounced US policy, he is not anti-American, I know because I have met and chatted with the man here in Dalkey, where Fisk and is ex-wife, journalist Lara Marlowe (an American and fellow Californian), used to have a house.
Fisk, and others, have seen the way the Palestinians have been treated by the Israelis. Having never been to the Middle East, I do not know first-hand, but the fact that a number of hacks have reported much the same, I have to conclude that there is something in it. Of course Charles Krauthammer, Mark Steyn, Ann Coulter and others may say something else, but have they been there? And if so, in what capacity and guided by whom?

Robb my family connections to the region have been well documented on the TacoStand previously. My wife's prominent family have been living continuously in the area for over 1400 years. And except for the Diaspora Palestinians who were forcibly expelled in 1948 the family is still in the region and still exceptionally prominent.
My wife lost nine family and friends in the last appalling atrocity in Gaza.
I would venture to say that my connection to the area is likely greater than the rest of the TacoStand combined. My voiced perspectives are not conjecture but informed by the reality on the ground. Unlike Fattrad who merely regurgitates the latest talking points of AIPAC, ADL & JDL. My intentions, some would say agenda, for the area is Peace, Liberty and Justice for all. While others' are the total demonization of Palestinians and the Myopic unquestioning support of Israel's "God given" right to exist.

Jeff the Palestinians, with the pronounced exception of radicalized elements among Hamas, have long ago given up on the notion of destroying Israel. They just want their own non-apartheid homeland, peace and justice. What's wrong with that?
The truth is the Palestinians are used more by the Israelis to further their agenda than by all other factions combined.
