Lois you are either the singularly most naive poster on ST or one of the more insidious trolls. Nothing would stop a pathological liar like Cheney from anything that would deflect the taint of guilt. He doesn't give a rat's ass about looking like an invalid if it would save him from shame. Hell he would shoot himself in the face if it would keep him from prosecution. Some of us who don't suck the teat of Fox news have actually followed the careers of characters like Cheney since the Nixon days. He is truly evil an absolutely amoral. He is an unAmerican. Certainly boxes stuffed with cash are heavy And could throw out a persons back, but I don't for a minute believe he moved anything for himself.
Please don't insult our intelligence by playing the poor, sick old man card.
In lieu of a war crimes trial in the Hague the best I could wish for Dick(less) is a cerebral hemmorage and a slow rot in Hell!

If there was true justice in the world, Cheney should be arrested as soon as the new administration reverses Bush/Cheney policies. However, considering Pinochet of Chile, got off…I suppose Bush/Cheney certainly will as well.
I mean, the new powers can't get the likes of say... Fatrad upset. That would cause too much instability in the country.

Seen short term, we can not now afford the division that would accompany a trial. Seen long term one should never give adherence to the law short shrift.
When Gerry Ford pardoned Nixon even in the absence of any formal charges we were set securely upon a road that will ultimately cost us dearly.

Don't know if I can agree with you on this one, Jeff.
A good friend of mine once told me "In politics, perception is reality."
My perception is that Darth Cheney is evil incarnate. He is secretive and vindictive. I invite him to change the perception held by so many (and thus his reality). He can start by providing all notes and minutes to the secret energy policy hearings. We can work out the further details (Halliburton) from there.
If he should come to the Facelift, I would look forward to many long conversations around the campfire. At least he can't bring a gun, so he can't "pepper me good"!

I've had many pulled muscles in my back and still function. Some of my pulled muscles that I had in my back were so pain full but I still was able to walk and work.
Cheney is a pussy.
Bring him to facelift fattrad and we'll give him a real pulled muscle.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, meanwhile, ended his term with a court victory allowing him to prevent his records from going public. On Monday, a federal judge ruled Cheney has the sole authority to decide which of his records, if any, are handed over to the National Archives. The group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington had sued Cheney to ensure his records became publicly released.
