I've hung the drill off of a fifi hook on the previous bolt and pulled it up on a zip line. You can run the zip line through a wall hauler which allows a one hand pull and auto grip of the line.
The downside of the fifi is you run the risk of the drill coming off and taking you off with it.
I think the slickest setup is the bulldog converted to a remote sealed lead acid battery strapped to your lower back fanny pack style. Sans battery the buldog is pretty light and allows one handed drilling. Carry spare batteries, bolts and bits in a haul bag and just what you need on you. You can limit what you carry to what you'll need for 1/2 the pitch, take a rest at that bolt and haul an atom smasher on a zip line with additional bolts and draws.

yes, much of what is said above is stellar info.
Use sharp bits. Your old 'rap' bits were ok, but a sharp bit will make that hole go fast.
Sometimes drilling too far above your head on stance is a serious beeyotch to get the roto-hammer function to engage. The strong won't have an issue, but I often can't get leverage to effectively drill. Not only that shorter folks will still be able to clip.
You can invert your grip on your drill so that your thumb is on the trigger rather than the index finger. This allows you to put your shoulder into the drill more and not have to lean or push out as much.

Safety first. To prevent the Bosch Kabob affect I cut a section of schedule 80 PVC pipe 3/8" longer the the bit extends from the chuck. I drilled a hole in one side of the pipe to thread a loop of bungee cord through. The drilled end is next to the tip of the bit. The opposite end of the bungee is anchored to the Bosch with a hose clamp. When climbing the pipe is over the bit preventing coitus. At the stance you pull the pipe off by stretching the bungee cord and let the pipe dangle.
SDS bits can be optimized for granite on a "Green wheel" with a steeper angle to the point and sharper edges to reduce cutting pressure. This allows you to sink the hole quicker then a stock bit saving precious battery life and possibly yours. Carry extra bits, they are much lighter then a battery.
Keep all of your bolt gear in a kit. Have the wrench and blow tube on leashes. Tie a hero loop through the hanger, clip a 'biner through the loop. Install the bolt through the hanger and clip the hanger assembly to your rack before you leave the stance for your shot at glory. Clip the hanger assembly into a sling and yourself and tap the bolt into the prepared hole, torque to spec then relax and enjoy the view.
